The Farmhouse at Mackworth

We got married at the farmhouse at mackworth october 2024, the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous and we got so many compliments on the place and how stunning it is, with guests wanting to return just for dinner. The food was amazing, we chose the chicken dinner for our guests and everyone said it was beautiful, we had the lamb which was beautiful. The staff were the best part of it all though, they catered to our every need and made sure our day went perfect from start to finish, every member of staff had a smile on their face and we’re all willing to help us, even to standing out in the rain to get a picture of us all with sparklers, he really was great! The Dj was also the best I’ve ever met, he played songs suited to us from our playlist and kept the guests dancing all night, he was super. Abi and Paige were a godsend every step of the way, answering all of our questions ever so quick and always helping us when we needed it, we are so grateful for them for helping us make our day so special. They really are an incredible team and I am so glad we were lucky enough to have them as our wedding team. I wish we could do it all again and I would choose the farmhouse again in a heartbeat.

We had our wedding in August 2024, planned by Paige & coordinator Britt who made this the most special day we could have ever asked for. The planning stages were so well organised, thoughtful & nothing was ever too much trouble. Both coordinators are so passionate & it shows in their work. Our wedding day was faultless, beautiful; better than we could have ever imagined. All the staff on the day were brilliant, friendly & professional. All our guests kept giving compliments on the day as a whole, including how amazing the food was. We visit the Farmhouse on numerous occasions; great food & atmosphere every time. We can't speak highly enough of the Folly for a wedding.

We had the best wedding day at the Folly at the Farmhouse. Planning a wedding can be really stressful but during the lead up, the whole team was wonderful and really put you at ease. They really know what they are doing and will tell you what to do and where to be on the day so you do not have to worry about a thing. The whole team were really accommodating, from the wedding planners Abi and Paige to the bar and catering staff. The folly is a beautiful venue and just what we wanted for our day. Couldn't be happier!

Highly recommend this venue. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Friendly, relaxed and very attentive. They allowed us to have the room the day before to decorate, always offering help. And couldn’t do enough for us all throughout the day. Impressed with the canapés and drinks on arrival, plenty to go around too. Lovely room and surroundings outside, all clean. The fire pit was a lovely addition in the evening, we could bring our own marshmallows. Grass area ideal for families and grooms football !! Meal was great, more than enough. Pizzas in the evening were outstanding - although we were still full after the main meal ! If you are thinking of this venue for around 100 guests - we highly recommend especially if you are on a budget as we were. Breakfast together the day after was a lovely touch and a nice ending to it all. Couldn’t have been any better - thank you Farmhouse !

I can’t recommend this venue enough, they are so so supportive from the very start and have the best wedding coordinating team. The venue itself is utterly beautiful, it felt like the whole place glowed on our wedding day!!! The staff are incredible, they helped make our day so much fun and truly so magical. The whole wedding was just breathtaking, I can’t thank them enough!!!

A great local venue for us, the venue and staff were amazing!! Very helpful with the set up of the day from the planning meetings. We were fortunate enough to have lovely weather so we could have the fire lit in the evening for toasted marshmallows. We had an amazing day!! Thank you all again.

We had our day in April 2022 and from the first moment we viewed the Folly in 2020 we knew it was the place for us! So down to earth and nothing was too big or small for the team! They regularly have open days and showcases where you can see it set up in all its glory. All our guests commented on the lovely venue and staff and we love that we can go back to visit anytime!

We got married here in September 2022 and I couldn't fault the process or the day. Nothing was too much and we were kept up to date on everything. Emails were promptly replied to which when planning a wedding and feeling a tad stressed makes things much smoother. The day went without a hitch. The staff were amazing, food was delicious and venue was perfect. Would highly recommend if you are on the search for your perfect venue.
