When you get hitched at The Driftwood Spars you become part of our extended family; that’s a quirky, independent bunch of people who get a buzz from the wild Cornish coast, love to indulge in local food and drink, and like nothing better than a proper knees-up with their nearest and dearest.
Our family is warm, welcoming, and fun-loving. We care about making memories while minimizing our environmental impact. If that sounds like you then read on, and maybe you will marry into the family too!
We believe every wedding or civil partnership is as individual as those taking part. Whether that means an elopement-style ceremony with just the two of you, the dog and our Cliffside Garden as the backdrop, or an epic family gathering in our Seaview Dining Room with scope for music and merry-making late into the night…
Our unique coastal pub with 15 bedrooms offers loads of flexibility for celebrations of all shapes and sizes. Our Cliffside Garden can be used for the ceremony itself, or for drinks and canapes overlooking beautiful Trevaunance Cove. The rustic Wheelroom is ideal for smaller gatherings, or as a backup to the garden in case of Cornish mizzle.
Our stunning Seaview Dining Room can accommodate all your family and friends for the ceremony, meal or after-party, and our Fishing Loft Bar is a cosy and atmospheric dining space in all seasons.

- RRob & Charlotte27/09/2023PerfectPerfectur wedding on the 9th April 2022 was perfect. The team and culture at Driftwood is relaxed, welcoming but thoroughly organised. For us, this was the basis of why the wedding was perfect for us, you made our day feel bespoke and not part of a factory line of other weddings. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The garden was incredible (especially in the sunshine) and the deck chairs were a major hit among our guests and created a laid back vibe. The Crib Shack was the perfect place for guests to mingle before the ceremony started. The reception room and bar areas were the perfect blend of modern and historic, we wouldn’t change a thing about these spaces. It was also amazing to have use of the Wheel Room to prepare wedding decorations. The communication from Lilly, Tash and Poppy has been fabulous since we first visited in Summer 2020. Keith was also excellent in talking through the final details with us when we were (to say the least) a little stressed on the eve of our wedding. We were particularly impressed with how the Team arranged all the decorations we had brought with us, without asking for our input. The whole team appears to be expertly capable of handling a wedding day. Most of our guests have also commented on the fantastic standard of the food throughout our stay; particularly the hog roast on the evening of the 8th April and all three courses during the reception. Please pass our sincere compliments to the chefs. Every member of the team went above and beyond their call of duty during our stay. The entire day ran incredibly smoothly and if there were any issues behind the scenes, we certainly didn’t notice them. We’d particularly like to thank Karen for dealing with a rather nasty mess made by one of our guests. To summarise, the Driftwood team have cultured the perfect atmosphere to plan and deliver a bespoke, warm and down to earth wedding day. We cannot recommend you highly enough as a wedding venue and we genuinely think you might be undercharging for your services. If you would like us to write a public review on Google or any other online platform, please let us know and we will leave a glowing 5 star review. Thank you so much again to Lou, Keith, Tash, Poppy, Karen, Mike and absolutely everyone behind the scenes such as waiters/waitresses, bar staff and cleaners. So close to the lovely Trevaunance Cove which allowed for an amazing photo shoot in the evening. Friends and family also enjoyed the setting and used it as an excuse for an extended break. The venue itself provided an amazing service and we were in regular contact with Natasha who was always to hand to help and provide advice for the day. Nothing was too much trouble for her and her team. The food was of really high quality and a hit with our guests. We were so inspired by the beautiful location and incredible team that we booked as quickly as we could. We had the most amazing day 2 weeks ago, everyone that joined us on the day have not stopped commenting on how incredible the team and the food was! We were always in contact with Natasha, she was so organised in supporting us in every way possible and put us at ease with the running of the day! If you are looking to get married in Cornwall or married at all, I would strongly recommend The Driftwood Spars, Natasha and Meg had the whole day organised amazingly so we could enjoy with zero stress!Me and my now wife had never imagined getting married in Cornwall, until we viewed The Driftwood Spars. We wouldn’t change a thing!Having stayed at the ‘Drifty’ several times we happened to see a wedding taking place there one day.We always said if we ever got married this would be a great venue . . So when we decided to tie the knot it was the obvious choice - relaxed, friendly and non pretentious while providing great food and service and of course a stunning location ! From the off our wedding planner, Meghan, offered exceptional service ,was so knowledgeable and always promptly responding to our questions via email ,as we don’t live locally . On the day the weather didn’t realise it was our wedding day and it was a bit wet, but it didn’t matter as the team decorated the bistro area and set the tables beautifully . The whole event went off very smoothly and the food was really plentiful and delicious! The Drifty team were really friendly and caring to our guests. Thank you Driftwood Spars - so glad we chose you for our special day !
