Description
The Barn at South Milton provides a truly unique and beautiful setting for your very special wedding celebration. Perched above the sea in glorious South Devon, The Barn, whilst keeping all the rustic charm of the original barn, has been carefully adapted to provide a superb wedding venue, with all the facilities you will need for your special day or even weekend!
The Barn is completely flexible. We’re lucky enough to have two beautiful barn areas, the larger barn can comfortably accommodate up to 150 seated guests for your wedding breakfast, and in addition to this, we have a separate, adjoining reception barn, which provides a perfect space for our ‘petite weddings’ of between 15 and 50 guests. The smaller barn can also be used as an area for your welcome drinks and canapés in chilly weather, it’s a perfect setting and enjoys beautiful views to the sea.
The facilities at The Barn include 8 toilets and 3 showers. Set in 7 acres of countryside, The Barn also has plenty of space for guests to stay, we have a newly refurbished holiday cottage with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, complete with a private decked area overlooking the coastline and sea.
Your guests can also choose to camp in our beautiful paddock which enjoys glorious views to the sea. Guests can either bring their own tents, (for which we charge them a small pitch fee), or to make the occasion even more special and memorable, they are welcome to hire one of our beautiful bell tents.
All guests have full use of the rustic camping kitchen, loos and hot showers, and we have also created a special campers' ‘dressing area’ which includes changing rooms, large mirrors with seating, electricity points for hairdryers etc., together with a rustic wardrobe for guests to hang their wedding outfits the night before. All these facilities make The Barn a unique coastal wedding celebration venue. There is ample car parking space for all your guests.

It doesn't take long to realise when they say it will be done, it will......... and in style, making for a stress free wedding and a day we will never forget. Paul and Paula were such lovely people and so so helpful with literally everything.!! Nothing was ever to much and you could do as little or as much as you liked with the barn to make it your own. We highly recommend this venue for a wedding ❤️ Even before we were engaged I knew I wanted to get married at The Barn at South Milton and I simply feel in love it when we went to view it. Paul and Paula were such lovely people and so so helpful with literally everything.!! Nothing was ever to much and you could do as little or as much as you liked with the barn to make it your own. Tried for months to find somewhere similar but closer to home (Cotswolds), cheaper, etc and quickly realised it didn't exist. We visited the venue and met Paul and Paula and we were sold. The whole planning process with them was amazing, and when things went sideways on the day they handled it so kindly. Its not just a beautiful venue but the people are beautiful too, the energy of the place is amazing and they've just nailed everything about it. It’s stunning - even better than the photos. The fairy lights create such a beautiful atmosphere and there are breath taking views surrounding it. We got married in the summer but it is the perfect venue for any time of the year Paul and Paula were so helpful and friendly throughout.
