The Barn at Pengelly

There are not enough amazing words to describe how utterly remarkable the team are, at Pengelly Barn. Throughout the process of booking, planning and experiencing our wedding, every member of the team have been outrageously wonderful. Queries were answered promptly, no question was too big or small… Catherin, our co-ordinator, effortlessly matched our attitude to our wedding day. She was relaxed, but at the same time, completely ‘on it’, which meant that we could completely relax and soak up our amazing day. All of the team are so approachable and friendly and cannot do enough for you. They took so much worry/concern out of our hands, and with pleasure! The venue speaks for itself, and our guests were all absolutely thrilled with their accommodation. It was such an amazing experience, to have the venue for two days because we enjoyed a gathering the night before at the Cottages and our guests were able to meet and connect before the wedding day, which made such a difference to the energy and vibe on the day. There is really nothing negative to say about our experience with Pengelly Barn and would wholeheartedly recommend them over, and over again. Our day was truly perfect thanks to this venue and the amazing team that run it. It is so beautiful and the on-site accommodation was amazing too. The staff were so helpful in the run up and were incredible on the day - cannot recommend this venue and team enough!

Wow where to start, this venue is so close to my heart. Everything about it is amazing. The family, the staff, the location. Nothing is to big for them and the staff go above and beyond to make your dreams come true. I fell in love with the venue from a picture I saw at a wedding fayre. Everyone could see instantly why I had to have the Pengelly barn as our wedding venue it was breathtakingly perfect.

I don't really know where to start!? Thank you isn't really enough. We had the most perfect day, it was beautiful in every single way and I know that without a doubt this was down to the Pengelly and the Team. Everything was seamless, calm and just complete perfection. Lauren, the venue manager was immensely calm, professional and organised, nothing was too much bother. She made me feel like getting married was easy, I am truly grateful. From the most glorious grounds to the cottages where we had the most wonderful time getting ready, to the amazing attentive team on the big day. I have had so much phenomenal feedback from our guests, many saying it was the best wedding the have ever been to. It was completely faultless. Thank you to all at Pengelly, so, so much for enabling us to have the day of our dreams.

We are so pleased that we picked The Barn at Pengelly for our special day. Leading up to the wedding, the staff were incredible and made the planning feel so stress free with their regular check ins and open communication. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator in the build up and on the day. Lauren was incredible and made everything run so smoothly on the day, ensuring that all the little touches we had planned were delivered seamlessly. Her calming presence was so reassuring and her excitement and interest in our wedding made us feel so valued. The venue was simply perfect. We lucked out with the weather so were fortunate to be able to hold our ceremony outside, but felt reassured that we could move it indoors if the weather changed last minute. The grounds were so beautiful and perfectly landscaped. We loved everything from the lakes, the grand steps, the wedding swing and the palm trees, all of which provided the best backdrop for our wedding photos. We were spoiled for choice! We loved the extra little touches that the venue had, including love letters and charger plates to hire, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, and ample space inside the venue which we filled with our band, Photo Booth and casino tables. The place was so spacious yet provided the best atmosphere for us and our guests to party all evening. We wish we could do the day all over again. Thank you again to all of the team at The Barn at Pengelly and we highly recommend this venue!

We cannot express how amazing our wedding was! From the moment we booked this venue to the day we got married everything was incredible. Watching this venue grow from when we booked in 2022 to our wedding day on 20th June 2024 has been incredible, the amount of effort that has gone into creating such a stunning venue is insane! Nothing was too much trouble and the team will do anything to help you and make the planning and your day go as smooth as possible. Special thanks to Catherin for making sure our day ran without a hitch, it was stress free and so relaxed. I would recommend this venue to anyone I wish we could do it all over again.

Wow! What an amazing venue with the most incredible staff. From our first visit, through the planning stages and meetings and then most importantly on the big day Emily, Catherin and Lauren were fantastic. So helpful guiding us and advising us as we were planning and then always on hand to make the day run perfectly smoothly. We simply cannot thank the staff enough. As for the venue, it was stunning. Everything has been considered, with lawn games, patio heaters and swings to keep kids (and adults for that matter) entertained, and a stunning light indoor space perfect for our Ceilidh Band for people to swing each other around! Best day of our lives and so so glad we chose The Barn at Pengelly to celebrate it. Thank you so much

We have worked with lots of different venues over the last few years and can wholeheartedly say that the Barn at Pengelly is one of the best venues around! The team there are dedicated to each couples individual needs and invest as little, or as much time into each Wedding as the client requires. Nothing is too much trouble and you can see that all couples we meet at the venue are incredibly relaxed and happy when we arrive in the evening to set up. We get to work with lots of other venues in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, you get to really notice the good Wedding, coordinators and venues from the bad and the Barn is definitely up there with the best.
