We pride ourselves on making your day the best it can be: from initial planning through to adding the final on the day personal touches, our small, dedicated team of experienced Event Planners and Managers are on hand to guide you through the process ensuring your days runs seamlessly.

The whole team went above and beyond, not only on the day but throughout the planning of the wedding. The team really feel like a family that welcome you with open arms. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were so supportive, even with some of our more bizarre ideas. They have so much knowledge and were able to guide us through everything. The venue is stunning and the grounds are magical. I had no doubt that our wedding day was going to be the best day of our lives, but the team at the barn helped our wedding day to go far beyond our expectations. Adding the fairy lights against the natural beams really did feel like something out of a fairy tale. Our friends and family have told us repeatedly how beautiful the wedding and the barn was. We feel truly lucky to have such precious memories in such a beautiful place.My husband and I got married in July 2024 and we had the most magical day. We had quite a small wedding to which the team were great at helping us along with the planning , advice and suggestions ! Ellie and the team were excellent from the very first time we met them - they put up with my many emails of random questions !! They were so friendly and welcoming . Our wedding day arrived and Ellie made me feel so at ease , the bridal room was set up beautifully, the brunch was delicious ! Throughout the whole day the team made sure everything went smoothly !! The wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and that was all down to the venue and the team behind it ! The Barn and Alswick and the team you are amazing ! Originally, we were planning to tie the knot in Vegas, but thanks to restrictions, we had to switch gears and go for a UK venue. We were having a tough time finding the perfect spot that fit our dream of a beautiful countryside setting with good vibes. Enter The Barn. From the moment we set foot on their open day and met Ellie and Kay, we knew we were in the right place. Ellie went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She handled all our questions with ease and made the day even better than we had imagined. The day was truly magical and captured who we are as a couple, all thanks to Ellie's close collaboration with us. The weather was perfect, allowing us to enjoy steelpans in the courtyard and dance the night away. Everyone raved about how lovely the staff were, which made the experience even more special. The glamping accommodations were comfortable, and Ellie thoughtfully addressed allergies and our family's accessibility needs. Every little detail was taken care of. The sweeping views of the countryside, the cozy interior with its twinkling fairy lights, and the rustic decor all came together to create the perfect atmosphere for a fairytale wedding. But it wasn't just the venue that stole my heart - the staff at The Barn at Alswick were absolutely wonderful to work with! They were so warm and welcoming, and they made sure that everything ran smoothly throughout the day. From coordinating with the other vendors to ensuring that the wedding party was comfortable and happy, the staff went above and beyond to make sure that the day was perfect. We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and the team gave tremendous support over more than two years from our first viewing to our wedding day. They really were amazing through some very tough times, and always gave the reassurance that nothing was too much trouble, and that everything would turn out just fine. We couldn't have dreamt of a more beautiful day - and so many of our friends and family commented on how stunning the setting was. Everything seemed to run so smoothly, which meant that my husband and I - and our guests - could just relax and enjoy ourselves. From the big things (like arranging for our drinks reception to be held in the private gardens), to the small touches (like offering me a glass of water when I was melting on the dancefloor!), we felt in very safe hands. Go and take a look - and if your heart skips a beat as you travel up the driveway like mine did, book it just as soon as you can. The team are absolutely incredible, so attentive, professional and friendly. Everything ran like clockwork and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how well the day was run. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day... we just want to do it all over again! A massive thank you to Ellie and the rest of the team at Alswick for the best day of our lives!!We had our wedding at Alswick Barn on 30th March and our day was everything we imagined and more. The simplicity and elegance of the place is amazing, we had a tour of the grounds from Ellie and fell more in love with it and knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Kay and her team helped us through every decision and made our wedding smooth and stress free, and they couldn't have done anymore for us. The staff are excellent and so friendly. All our guests were amazed by the venue and we have had so many compliments about it. Ellie, Kay, Claire and all of the staff could not do enough for us. They really made sure the day went smoothly and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. Huge shout out to Ellie in particular who was INCREDIBLE. We had lots of guests travelling from outside Hertfordshire who (when seeing the address) made a few comments about how far it was. When they arrived everyone said, ‘We can see why you picked the venue!’ Everything was perfect. The changeover from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast was so smooth and wasn’t noticeable. The views are beautiful and I cant wait to see the professional photos. Cant recommend this venue enough!!! The catering options were amazing- I recommend the BBQ sharing boards! I recommend visiting an open day if you are considering this venue. This was how we first saw the venue and were very impressed with how welcome the staff made us feel. There isn’t a corporate feel to the place which we found at other venues. The glamping options also impressed us as did the bridal suite. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
All of our weddings have been amazing but one of the most exciting things we have seen is having one of our brides perform a trapeze act as part of their drinks reception- in her beautiful wedding dress! The groom was also part of the evening reception and that played throughout the evening so there was a fab atmosphere.
