Our gorgeous, fully licensed, setting in the heart of the City is a stone's throw from St Paul's Cathedral, Bank station & many of London's best hotels. Our flexible spaces can take you from ceremony to wedding breakfast to reception, for both intimate & large celebrations.
Facilities and Capacity
The venue provides a fun, yet sophisticated space which is sure to impress your guests on the big day. Set in the centre of the vibrant City of London, and is the perfect setting for a stylish, modern event. From outside, the glass-fronted façade offers a glimpse of the modern venue. It is the perfect party location with a fantastic bar, an extensive wine store, two cocktail lounges, a contemporary kitchen with a chef’s table, and a British delicatessen. Wedding Breakfast can be set up for up to 150 guests, with a variety of flexible standing spaces catering for up to 300. We also have a ceremony license.

I loved having a huge space with zones (dining, dancing, chill-out) so I could see the guests throughout the day and night, as opposed to breaking off into separate rooms. The food and drink options were delicious and we were able to find something to please all of our guests. From the planning through to the day it was all so much fun! My husband and I (still getting used to that term.. hehe) live in Australia so when we decided to get married in London we knew we were up for a challenge to plan a wedding literally from the other side of the world. However, when I came across Drake and Morgans venues and started to email with Will, we thought it was all to good to be true! I was quickly proven wrong when we skyped with Will and realised we were in the best hands possible. Will is an absolute dream to work with, and his team reflects his values to ensure we had the best day possible. Nothing seemed too much for them, Wills endless list of contacts and suppliers is incredible, he helped us to arrange the DJ, hotels (with great discounts), flowers, hairdresser, make-up and much more! They worked closely and managed all external suppliers I had sourced and projected managed the Wedding to the very end!! The venue we chose, The Anthologist, looked amazing and the team had set everything up just the way we had wanted! Actually it was even better than we had expected! Having reviewed a dozen venues in London, stately homes, private members clubs etc.... we came across the Drake & Morgan venues (of which there are a few!) and were shown around by Will Breteau (Events Manager for Drake & Morgan). All the venues varied in layout and size but each and every one had the same unique modern, contemporary, relaxed style which we absolutely loved. We selected The Anthologist on first viewing because of the layout and location. It is situated on Gresham Street which at the weekend feels like a private road in the heart of London! The Anthologist has a very light, relaxed feel, and the open plan layout allows a seamless transition from pre-drinks to daytime wedding breakfast to evening party. The food is to a high standard and also very reasonable in terms of pricing and we have since had many guests comment on the food throughout the day. The food tasting was great, the chef and his team were extremely accommodating and offered great suggestions for alternate options and dietary requirements. The staff on the day were fantastic, very friendly and attentive and made the whole day run very smoothly. The team were headed up by Will Breteau and his assistants Ava and Louise - these guys, from start to finish, made what can be a very stressful exercise seem nothing but fun. They orchestrated everything for us, contacts with DJ, table linens, bands, flowers.... Everything. This just leaves you to enjoy yourself!!
