Description

The London home of the Duke of Northumberland and the Percy family, for over 400 years, Syon has incredible historical connections from the medieval and Tudor past and our elegant spaces are sure to bring style and sophistication to your wedding day. The 18th century Great Hall is the ideal location for ceremonies up to 154 guests. Created as a palace of Graeco-Roman splendour, statues of Roman nobles gaze down from their pedestals as you take your vows. The State Dining Room with its quintessential Robert Adam interior, offers a more intimate setting for ceremonies up to 50 guests. The Long Gallery is an elegant backdrop for photographs of you as a couple, while guests enjoy drinks in the Italian style Inner Courtyard. A formal parterre garden filled with white flowers; it provides an idyllic location for mingling with guests. Then it is dinner and dancing in the Great Conservatory, for up to 160 guests seated or 200 guests standing. A breath-taking 19th century glass domed building, that simply sparkles under the stars as you celebrate into the night.

Weddings at Syon Park are entirely bespoke — we do not offer set packages, as every celebration is tailored to the individual couple. Costs can therefore vary considerably, depending on the elements you choose to include. Virtually all of the caterers on our approved list also offer full planning services, and can provide a comprehensive quote covering virtually every aspect of your wedding day. Prices typically start from £220 + VAT per guest, which usually includes food, beverages, furniture, crockery, cutlery, linen, waiting and cooking staff, and necessary cooking equipment. Your chosen caterer can also supply drinks, if desired. Please note that Syon Park does not operate cash or pay bars.

We recently had the pleasure of planning a two-day wedding at Syon Park, making use of nearly all of the beautiful spaces across the venue! With our couple based in the US, communication and coordination from afar were particularly important throughout the planning process. Laura, our main point of contact, was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. She was always helpful, responsive and a pleasure to work with, making the entire process feel seamless despite the distance. The wider team were equally fantastic and it was clear how much care and attention went into ensuring everything ran smoothly across both days. As a wedding planner, having a venue team you can trust and collaborate with so effortlessly makes such a difference, and the team at Syon really delivered. Stunning venue and fantastic teamStunning venue and fantastic team
Syon Park benefits from being both a beautiful venue and easily accessible, meaning we had a gorgeous location and didn’t have to worry about carriages/accommodation for guests during planning. Our venue manager Tori was great from start to finish and her team on the day at the Great Conservatory were very accommodating and organised and made sure my partner and I had the best day! Our guests absolutely loved the venue and it’s definitely one of a kind, huge thanks to the Syon Park team. Syon Park benefits from being both a beautiful venue and easily accessible, meaning we had a gorgeous location and didn’t have to worry about carriages/accommodation for guests during planning. Our venue manager Tori was great from start to finish and her team on the day at the Great Conservatory were very accommodating and organised and made sure my partner and I had the best day! Our Dream Wedding Across the PondOur Dream Wedding Across the Pond
We had the most beautiful and unforgettable two days at Syon Park, and we truly could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. We planned our wedding entirely from the United States, which came with its own set of challenges. While I do have family in the UK, we were still planning a very large and logistically complex wedding from across the Atlantic. Syon Park made that process so much easier. They were incredibly accommodating with walk-throughs of the estate — we believe we had at least four or five before our wedding days — which allowed us to revisit the spaces, talk through logistics, and make sure we felt comfortable and confident with the plans. Having that access was invaluable when planning from abroad. Laura was our main coordinator, and from the beginning she and the entire Syon Park team were wonderful to work with. They were organized, responsive, professional, and genuinely fun. Their attention to detail was unparalleled, and they consistently went above and beyond to make our events feel personal rather than simply executing a standard wedding. Our wedding planner, Poppy Sienna, and her team were also a huge part of making the weekend so special. One of the things we appreciated most was how naturally the Syon Park team worked alongside Poppy and her team and all of our vendors. There was excellent communication and a real sense of collaboration throughout the planning process. We had four events over two days — our civil wedding, Mehndi night, Indian wedding, and reception — with each event having its own look, feel, and logistics. Despite the scale of everything, the days themselves felt incredibly calm from our perspective. In the lead-up to the wedding and especially on the actual days, it truly felt like we had an entire brigade helping us. There was always someone who knew what was happening, where we needed to be, or what needed to happen next, which allowed us to actually enjoy the experience rather than worry about the logistics. Staying at Syon Park for two nights made the experience even more special. The apartment has six bedrooms, five with en-suite bathrooms, which we used for our family and wedding party. The rooms were beautiful and incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning was an absolute lifesaver! The getting-ready room was another highlight and one we heavily utilized throughout the weekend. It gave us a wonderful space to spend time with our bridal party and family, and the Syon Park team was always nearby whenever we needed anything. The breakfast spread deserves a mention of its own. It was amazing every morning and felt like a luxury in itself. There was genuinely nothing we needed that wasn’t provided, and all of those little details made our stay feel incredibly thoughtful. The estate itself was, of course, breathtaking — but what made us happiest was seeing our guests experience it. Our guests were completely blown away by Syon Park. We still hear about how incredible the estate was and how memorable the entire setting felt. Having four different celebrations across two days within such a beautiful and historic estate gave our wedding a sense of occasion that we simply could not have recreated anywhere else. One moment in particular showed us just how much the people around us cared. On the day of our reception, my grandfather had a medical issue. Our guests, Poppy and her team, and the Syon Park team all immediately came together to help him. The Syon Park team helped ensure he was able to get back to the hotel safely and kept us updated throughout the situation. It was a stressful moment for our family, and we will always be grateful for the kindness and support everyone showed him. Even after the wedding, Laura continued to be helpful. We realized we had accidentally left some jewelry at the estate, and she graciously and expeditiously arranged to have it returned to us. It was a lovely final example of the care we experienced throughout our time with Syon Park. We can confidently say that we will not miss planning a wedding — but we would absolutely do it all over again if it meant getting married at Syon Park and having the wonderful teams we were lucky enough to work with by our side. Syon Park will forever hold such a special place in our hearts. We are incredibly grateful to Laura and the entire Syon Park team, as well as Poppy and her team and all of our vendors, for helping make our four events across two days so personal, beautiful, and memorable. Yes, there were a couple of hiccups and the rain was ‘meh’- but as you said, at the end of the day, that’s not what it was about. We had a magical day that I shall always cherish. Although I was anxious, yourself and the Syon team were efficient, timely, friendly and so helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better person and team to have carried us through our day. We will have exclusive use of the venue?

Yes absolutely - it is something we are proud to be able to offer.

Do we have to use your recommended suppliers?

You are tied to using our approved caterers, décor, production companies, florists and bar companies for your event. You are welcome to use your own Photographer, Videographer, DJ, Band etc

What budget should we have?

To support your planning, weddings at Syon Park are typically planned with total budgets in the region of approximately £50,000 for weekday celebrations, rising to around £100,000 for Friday or Saturday weddings.

Can we accommodate a live band?

Yes – we love a live band. The Great Conservatory has a sound limiter that is set at 95 dbs.

Your chosen entertainment can have access to set-up from 2pm on the day – and we ask that they are ready, sound-checked etc by 5pm.

This should give them ample time to practice with the limiter so they can play without hindrance for the party!

Can we have candles on the wedding day?

Led candles can be used in Syon House and real candles can be used in the Great Conservatory.

Do you allow confetti?

We do not allow confetti anywhere on the estate. Dried Lavender is a wonderful alternative and can be used in the inner Courtyard. Bubbles can also be lovely.

Is there parking for our guests

There is plenty of parking in the main car park of Syon Park.
