The size was ideal for us and we took the whole hotel over. Everything went very smoothly. We were not exactly on schedule, and they just accommodated and adapted, making the day stress-free. I come from Sway originally, but we live in San Jose, USA. Which made planning more challenging, but the personal attention was excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.We had a fabulous day. They were really helpful with the planning and organising. The food was first-class. The size was ideal for us and we took the whole hotel over. Everything went very smoothly. The brides room was very spacious with amazing views over the gardens. The rooms were very clean, tastefully decorated and had amazingly comfortable beds! The bath in the brides room was very large and relaxing, the toiletries that were provided were plentiful and of high quality everything that the bride needs before her big day ahead. The staff were available should we require anything else and were very happy to accommodate our needs. Breakfast was served in the tastefully decorated and comfortable restaurant with plenty of options available from the hot and continental menu. All guests left breakfast full and ready for the day ahead. The service was informal but professional and made sure we had all that we needed. We had our ceremony in the wonderful grounds with an afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and the cakes and scones freshly made and plentiful! The guests were very complimentary on the food and service, they were also able to cater for dietary needs. The grounds were well tended but not over the top but with a very relaxed feel, the guests enjoyed taking walks around the meadow and around the bottom end of the garden. There are about 5 acres to explore! They also said that it was very peaceful and relaxed. We could not compliment this hotel and its staff/ owner enough and would very highly recommend this venue as a wedding venue. Guests are still talking now about our wonderful day almost 4 months on. We enjoyed some high quality, lovely food at the Manor as part of our wedding breakfast as well as some delicious canapés. Nothing was too much trouble for Tim and the rest of the team at the Manor, which made the wedding planning process really enjoyable and the team made everyone feel very relaxed on the day. One of the reasons we chose the Manor was because of the beautiful long gardens which made for some lovely photos and there is lots of room for a band and garden games. We didn’t have a marquee but we imagine this would be a great option for larger weddings as the garden is large and private. It already held a lot of sentimental value to us as a couple but being able to hold our wedding reception there has made it even more magical. All the staff are kinda and welcoming, we felt like anything that we asked for they did their best to accommodate. The manor and the grounds and stunning and the perfect backdrop for beautiful wedding photos. We hired the whole manor so all our friends and family could stay which made it feel really homely and let the celebration continue to breakfast the next day. The food was delicious and exactly what we had asked for. The layout of the ground floor spaces with the bar in the centre worked perfectly for the flow of the day and the feeling of the wedding. I love the way you can move from the bar to seating areas or to outside or to the reception room or the dance floor made everyone feel really together and connected everyone in deferent areas. We arrived the evening before, celebrated the wedding the following day and departed after breakfast the day after. There was nothing to fault - accommodation, food, service, flexibility, good humour and attention to detail were all 10 out of 10! The Manor is so beautiful & made for some lovely photos on the day both inside & in the gardens. When we visited the Manor the first time, we couldn’t imagine having our reception anywhere else - the decor and lovely high ceilings are beautiful. The staff were all so professional & friendly. The food was delicious and of a really high quality. They were understandably very anxious about having a wedding reception in lockdown with the Covid restrictions but honestly I cannot thank Tim and his staff enough. It all went so smoothly and was so relaxed with 45 guests . Nothing was too much trouble! We were even allowed to take our well loved important dog of honour who felt very much at home in this comfortable setting! We didn’t need to worry about anything . We were delayed starting the meal because of picture taking but the Staff just handled it, we weren't hurried they just adapted. The food was excellent - the best we had in England.
