The Venue

Southwood is a former private country residence in Halifax, West Yorkshire that specialises in wonderful Weddings and Events. Our Weddings offer total exclusivity for guests and include Wedding and Event packages to suit most budgets.

Southwood offer couples an experienced team of Wedding Coordinators, helping to create your special day.

Our exclusive use Country house is surrounded by gardens and includes a lawn and terrace. The ‘Summer House’ offers the perfect setting to serve reception drinks and canapes.

Facilities and Capacity

We hold two Wedding licences; The Albert Suite, seating up to 120 guests and an outdoor licence where vows can be taken under the pagoda which is situated within the gardens.

In addition to The Albert Suite, guests can use St Johns bar, which can be enjoyed throughout the day.

Our professional weddings team and event staff work closely with couples to ensure their dream day goes perfectly!

We can't thank you and all the staff enough for making the place so beautiful and giving us such a lovely day. Weddings at Southwood really are the best in my opinion. Thanks for all your hard work and being so lovely and helpful, and to Oliver too and anyone we dealt with. Really all so helpful and nice. My son and Daughter-in-law held their Wedding Reception at your venue and I would just like to say to all your staff a big THANK YOU. I am severely disabled and your wonderful staff looked after me ever so well. All the tables looked beautiful and the food was lovely. I know from speaking with the 'Happy Couple' that everything was just perfect. I would say that not only the venue was great but the food, music and everything else was 10 out of 10. My son and Daughter-in-law held their Wedding Reception at your venue and I would just like to say to all your staff a big THANK YOU. We had a fantastic wedding on the 7th Aug. Viki and her team made sure our day went without a hitch. Nothing was too much trouble, food was superb both reception and buffet, DJ recommended was great & music choice was exactly what we wanted. can't praise Southwood enough, made our day so special.
