- The Tallet: This upstairs space features exposed beams and historic brickwork, ideal for bigger celebrations. It accommodates up to 120 guests for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, and up to 200 for evening receptions.

We didn't opt for exclusive use as we weren't having an evening function and many of our guests were local so we didn't need all the bedrooms. The food was incredible, they have such a talented chef. The service on the day was exceptional, very professionally run. There were a few communication hiccoughs during the months leading up to the wedding but our mind was put at ease once we saw everything set up and ready for the big day. Best of all.... they are dog friendly and so our beloved dogs were in attendance for the civil ceremony and during the lunch. We loved the fact this property isn't pristine, it's all part of the character and quirkiness of this historic site. Ann and Tim understood what we wanted and were helpful on the day without being intrusive. The food is delicious and several of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We stayed in the room Hill, which was beautiful and romantic with a huge four poster bed. The cosy, warm atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. I've read some reviews commenting on the old fashioned furniture but the style is exactly what you would expect for this property. If you want modern, then stay in a modern hotel!
