FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Amongst many one couple that I always remember planned one of the best weddings Sedgebrook Hall have seen it!

The bride made all of the decorations following a chic Disney theme and we advised her to start her own business due to the high standard of it.

The groom organized some incredible surprises for his bride including a falconry display during the drinks reception, singing waiters and a caricaturist. He also contacted a few of her favorite celebrities to invite them and got Olly Murs to record a message! The wedding ring was a surprise also and not the one the bride was expecting.

So many special and personal details made a wonderful day to remember to all.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

The Wedding planning process can get busy and stressful with a lot of loved ones giving advice, so our number 1 tip is: "Don't loose sight of why you are doing this and listen to each other's needs more than anyone else's because in the end of day is all about you!"

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We believe not two weddings are the same so we have witnessed many great personal touches.

Our chosen one is when the décor company provided a white grand piano to a bride that loved playing it. The cherry on the cake was when she played a special song to her dad. There were a lot of tears.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Charming; Picturesque; Idyllic; Inviting and Historic

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Very difficult to choose only one! However, indoors it has to be our beautiful staircase. The stairs are one of the original features of the house and the perfect spot for any type of photos: couples, groups, bridal party and many more.

Outdoors you can pick from a large variety: original entrances, front of the house, pagoda and lawn with country side backdrop.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Not quite, however Olly Murs recorded a Congratulations video to one of our couples! It was a surprise from the groom to the bride and guests.

The team got involved pretending he was actually in the venue and then we played the video.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Mini Yorkshire pudding filled with roast beef it's a winner!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Warm Mini Doughnuts served with chocolate dipping sauce for the sweet tooth's and Popcorn Buckets for the savory lovers.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The original features of the house such as the fireplaces at Reception, Elm and Birch Suites, the bay windows at the front of the house, the old entrances: gate and oak door and the staircase.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

I would have to say the flexibility of the team to go above and beyond to make sure all our couples have the most special day.
