Dodmoor House is an award-winning wedding venue located in Weedon Beck, Northamptonshire, England. This spectacular property features grade II listed event barns and a rustic courtyard set upon four acres of lush grounds. As a family-owned-and-operated establishment, the venue offers exceptional service and personalised packages for the perfect wedding.

Dodmoor House has many beautiful spaces suitable for hosting all aspects of your wedding day. The Courtyard Barn is charmingly romantic for ceremonies. Its exposed wooden rafters and brick accented walls can be decorated with fairy lights and candles to create an inviting aesthetic. The barn can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people in a theatre-style layout.

Afterwards, your guests will enjoy a relaxed drinks reception in the courtyard or lawn area, while you take advantage of the gorgeous backdrops for photos. Complimentary garden games can be played while loved ones mix and mingle.

The warm and inviting Catesby Barn provides the perfect space for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. This area features high ceilings, wooden beams and an eye-catching Juliet balcony that hides a delightful mezzanine bar. 100 guests can be seated for dinner, with room for 180 attendees for your evening party.

This venue also includes two stunning get-ready space for you and your wedding party. The Farmhouse Suite comes complete with a make-up station, large mirrors, kitchenette and bathroom- ideal for bridal prep. The Dodford Room is a seperate barn that is also directly connected to the Honeymoon Suite. The Dodford Room consists of comfy chairs- a central hub before the ceremony. The Honeymoon Suite features a four-poster bed, comfortable seating, and an en-suite bathroom.

Dodmoor House aims to assist you in creating the occasion of your dreams. Rental of the venue includes a complimentary overnight stay with breakfast for two in the Honeymoon Suite, access to the Dodford Room and Farmhouse Suite, a selection of decor items, tables and chairs, and glassware. Attractive and competitively priced drinks packages are also available. The events team can provide a comprehensive list of recommended suppliers to choose from for your convenience. However, you are also welcome to source your own catering and additional vendors to ensure that your vision is achieved.

We are Mark and Louise, who set up Dodmoor House as a wedding venue back in 2006, after a painstaking restoration of the Grade II listed barns next to our family home. We have since hosted more than 1,000 weddings, with the aim to make sure that every couple's day is entirely unique. We pride ourselves on offering a very personal service, with your own dedicated wedding coordinator who is with you every step of the way to organise the wedding of your dreams!

There is so much that is included within our venue hire... You will receive guidance from your own wedding coordinator prior to your big day and on the day and evening itself. Regular invites to open evenings- free to attend. Lots of decorations- including tables, chairs, card boxes, cake stands, easels and wooden logs (we could go on). An overnight stay in our on site honeymoon suite, including breakfast the next morning- whilst we have fantastic deals for guest accommodation at 2 local hotels! The accommodation deal also includes transport for your guests booked and paid for by us!

Our dream wedding dayOur dream wedding day
We had our wedding here in May 2025 and we couldn't recommend this venue enough. There were so many reasons why we were happy with our desicion to get married here. Louise was amazing from the beggining right up to the morning after, she sat and talked through all our plans for the day and we felt so much more organised after, she was also a star on the day, I barely saw her which was a dream as the bride but she made sure everything went off without a hitch, all from behind the scenes. She made our dream outdoor cermony and drinks reception come true, even with looming rain predictions! She also made time in our day for us to host our own music quiz before the evening reception, which alot of our guests loved! She went the extra mile to give us the day we wanted and we couldnt have been happier. The venue is stunning and had such a variety of places to have photos. It was also very kid friendly, which we needed as we had 20+ child guests, louise and the staff were extremely accommodating. My only quibble about the venue is that it was too big! Even though that was a plus for us when planning as there were so many guests and kids, apparently noone could find me in the evening as there were so many areas for people to search and they must've kept missing me so I didnt get to say goodbye to some of our guests but it really didnt bother me as I was always with other guests. The honeymoon suite was amazing! And the breakfast they provided the next morning went down a treat! Overall the whole venue and wedding planning offering was incredible value for money, we looked at a few other places and couldn't find anywhere else doing what they did for the same price. If you want a stress-free day and a rustic barn/country house vibe to your wedding then do yourself a favour and go to an open day/evening!We had our wedding here in May 2025 and we couldn't recommend this venue enough. Perfect venuePerfect venue
We got married at Dodmoor House in May 2025. We viewed a few other venues beforehand, but for us, Dodmoor was perfect. We had a small intimate wedding with roughly 30 guests and 2 small children. From the very beginning, everyone (Beth-rai in particular) was super helpful and welcoming and on the day, nothing was too much of an ask. Beth-rai seemed in her element setting everything up and this allowed me to truly relax. I cannot thank Dodmoor enough for helping us achieve our beautiful day and I’m only sad we can’t do it all over againWe got married at Dodmoor House in May 2025. Me and my husband got married in May, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of venue. The process from start to finish was seamless and we were really able to individualise our wedding to how we wanted it Beth-rai in particular was amazing, she communicated throughout and was always able to answer any questions we had. She kept me so calm on the day, and the day went so smoothly. Al of our guest commented on the staff being warm, welcoming and attentive. We couldn’t have have asked for a more beautiful venue or more lovely staff! Me and my husband got married in May, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of venue. Review of dodmoor It’s so hard to capture how amazing Dodmoor & the team are with just a few words, but I will try! We honestly had the greatest day of our lives, it was so magical and so easy because of them! The venue itself is so beautiful and versatile, whatever the weather you will have a wonderful time. The team are so helpful and caring, they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. I have to say having the help from them with planning and organising was what kept me sane and it’s included in the booking cost, which is unbelievable - a lot of venues don’t offer this! There’s also no corkage in the day which helped us a lot, plenty of parking & hotels very nearby for your guests. The honeymoon suite is lovely too and we had a beautiful breakfast the next day. Every little detail was carefully put together so our vision became a reality. We are so grateful and glad to have had our wedding at Dodmoor House! We had the most incredible wedding with Dodmoor House. We knew it was the venue the second we walked into the courtyard, so much so that we booked it there and then! The whole process was incredibly enjoyable; from the multiple visits with family, to the planning meeting, the constant barrage of questions and plans (from us) and the eventual big day. The team couldn’t have done more to go out of their way to make our day perfect for us. Even on a November day! We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better day. Special thanks has to go to Shona for managing all of the planning. She made the day so relaxing it genuinely didn’t feel like we were the ones getting married! If we could do it all again, it would be exactly the same. We had the most incredible wedding with Dodmoor House. We got married at dodmoor house and they are always a phone call away! They were great at advising and talking to us. Gave us some helpful and unique ideas on how to set up our tables. I would do it all over again and KARA! Was amazing I will say. She was like part of my bridal team very supportive and made me feel calm. Everything I asked for and more! It like getting married in your own house but with an amazing view and big yard , that is how cozy this was. I would do it all over again. Every single person on the Dodmoor House team is amazing and helped make our day so incredibly special. We originally booked for December 2024 but later decided to postpone by a year. Changing the date was so easy, and the team quickly found us another date that worked perfectly. From then on, every email was answered quickly, every question was dealt with, and every idea I had was never a problem. A huge thank you to the whole team! Our on-the-day coordinator was Beth-rai, and honestly, she was incredible. She was so helpful from start to finish. I had planned lots of DIY decorations and fully expected to set them up myself, but Beth-rai completely took that stress away by setting everything up for us. This meant I could actually relax the day before the wedding. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly and we were able to fully switch off and enjoy every moment — all thanks to Beth-rai. We can’t thank her, or the rest of the team, enough. We would 100% recommend Dodmoor House to anyone planning their wedding. The venue is beautiful, with twinkly lights everywhere, which was perfect for our Christmas wedding. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We've had so many weddings and each one has their own best parts! We've had penguins, ferris wheels, champagne towers, singing waiters with guests waving their napkins in their while standing on their seats and SO many cute dogs. But the most memorable weddings are always the most personal, where couples reflect themselves in their special day. Such as the English bride who grew up locally and married an American groom, so when his family and friends flew across for the big day, they were all transported to Dodmoor on a double decker London bus!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

If someone is willing to help you, take their help! It's so amazing to have people who want to contribute towards your day whether that's helping to make favours, driving your Nan to the venue or doing a reading in the ceremony. Anything that helps take a little stress away from planning really has a huge effect!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We love personal photos, it's always lovely to see pictures of our couples throughout the years they have been together. There are some great places to hang these in our bar area and they are a great focal point for guests to look at!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Being next door to the Grand Union Canal is a treat, we are right next to a lovely bridge which provides such beautiful photos both on the bridge and on the towpath.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Being so close to Northampton, we've had a couple of Saints Rugby players get married here, a few guests from the Made in Chelsea cast and Emily Atack from the Inbetweeners loved our cocktails! A roadie for Coldplay and One Direction also got hitched at Dodmoor (but sadly Chris Martin and Harry Styles didn't make the guest list...)

Can you host intimate weddings at Dodmoor?

Dodmoor is such a flexible venue, with two inter-connected barns that it can host intimate wedding days as well as much bigger ceremonies and receptions, so it's a truly lovely space for a smaller wedding with your nearest and dearest guests, with special midweek intimate wedding packages available.

Are dogs welcome at Dodmoor weddings?

Yes dogs are always welcome at Dodmoor weddings (and we really love it when they get dressed up for the big occasion!)

What is your venue's most unique feature?

We might be biased, but there are so many beautiful features at Dodmoor. The most unique however might be the "secret garden" gate, which is located by the walled garden area of our main lawn. Absolutely gorgeous for romantic couple portraits.
