Description

Scorrier House is a family run country house in the heart of Cornwall where weddings unfold in a magical setting. Enveloped in 400 acres of private parkland and historical gardens, our exclusive hire model gives you complete privacy for 3 days and 2 nights (or longer if you wish). Arrive the day before your wedding and make use of our facilities - hot tub, sauna, swimming pool and gardens - and check-in to our 10 bedrooms (sleeping 20 in total). The day of your wedding will be tailored entirely to you. In the summer you can tie the knot in the stunning walled garden or a number of other beautiful outdoor spots. For something more spectacular, get married in the grand hall, with the fabulous double sweeping staircase as your backdrop. From alfresco drinks and canapés afterwards to lawn games such as croquet, boules, and rounders, you can host a dreamy drinks reception following your nuptials. Choose your wedding breakfast from one of our amazing catering partners, whether its a formal affair in the hall (space for up to 120 guests), desserts in the garden, or a barbecue on the terrace. In the evening, your guests can order cocktails in the snug bar room, dance in the drawing room, or relax around a firepit outside. We have over 20 years of experience in hosting weddings and have worked with most wedding suppliers in the southwest, so we are fully equipped to guide you through the process and leave you with cherished memories and incredible photos.

All our prices give you exclusive hire of Scorrier House for 3 days/2 nights with accommodation for 10 and the option to boost that to 20. This price is inclusive of your ceremony as well (should you choose to have it here), and we've some fabulous locations inside and in the garden. We can accommodate up to 160 of your guests in the house and provide all the necessary furniture, glassware, etc. While catering is not included, we can help you arrange it with one of our exceptional catering partners. There are loads of facilities at Scorrier, including a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, and more, which are all included in the venue hire.

Our wedding packages include catering for your wedding breakfast, a drinks reception and 3 day/2 night exclusive hire of Scorrier House. Our different packages range in terms of drinks, food and services offered. However, they will always include excellent food prepared by one of our preferred caterers, our house bar fully stocked and staffed, 2 nights accommodation for 10 (up to 20) complete with breakfast each day and free use of all our swimming pool, sauna and other facilities.

The best wedding weekend!The best wedding weekend!
After looking at four other venues for our wedding, the moment we left our viewing at Scorrier House last Easter, we knew it was the right one for us. Not only is the house rich in a faded glamour and the exact aesthetic we were looking for, but the grounds are expansive and beautiful. It ticked all the boxes for us in that it sleeps up to 20 (we squeezed in a couple more children on camp beds as well), dogs are allowed, which was important to us, plus there's the swimming pool, sauna and hot tub too, which is a nice touch. After the viewing, the whole wedding planning process with Ollie and the team at Scorrier was very straightforward, quick with email responses, nothing was too much trouble and we really appreciated their experience and relaxed approach. Especially when we got there for our wedding weekend, they were on hand to deal with suppliers and always available to help as needed. Plus, the continental breakfast served in the house was lovely, exactly what I needed on the morning of my wedding. The best day of our lives The best day of our lives
We stayed at Scorrier house for our wedding celebrations for 3 nights and it was the best time of our lives! A big part of that was staying in such a gorgeous house! The rooms and grounds felt like we were living in a dream for a few days! All our family and friends who stayed loved it too! In the lead up to the wedding Ollie was so helpful in answering all my questions and sorting things we needed. And the day before the wedding and morning of Ellie was super helpful in doing so much for us with the set up! There is something really special about Scorrier house and we felt it from when we first visited, it doesn't just feel like any other wedding venue it feels like a genuine stately home which you get to live in during the days of your wedding!We stayed at Scorrier house for our wedding celebrations for 3 nights and it was the best time of our lives! We recently got married at Scorrier House and cannot sing the praises enough of this gorgeous venue and it's incredible staff. From our initial enquiry through to the day after the wedding when we were packing away, Ollie could not have been more accommodating. We have received so many compliments from our guests about our choice in venue; it was only a small wedding of around 50-60 people and whilst the house feels stately and grand, it still maintained a nice buzz throughout and felt the perfect size. The staff went above and beyond for us on the day itself and helped us in so many ways we would never have expected them to, as well as just bringing such a warm and supportive energy to the space. We thought the drinks packages and bar were very well priced, and it being dog friendly was a lovely bonus. Our bridal party stayed in the Stable House on site too and all commented on how clean, comfortable and well decorated it was. Our guests were also pleased with how easy it was to find and park at Scorrier House. So we decided to get married this winter and with only 3 months to plan! We definitely didn't give ourselves much time but Ollie from scorrier house was incredibly responsive with all our requests and countless emails, so getting through the planning became a breeze. The staff and Ollie were so attentive throughout the night, we never wanted for anything and could relax, let our hair down and enjoy the evening. The place itself is beautiful, quiet and tucked out the way but not far from public transport with great views over the estate. The inside was perfect for hosting our wedding party with loads of furniture, a loaded bar and area for a DJ to set up made the evening so easy to plan. The added bonus of doing a winter wedding was having their wonderful Christmas tree lit up throughout the evening. We couldn't recommended scorrier house enough. They made our special day one to remember. So we decided to get married this winter and with only 3 months to plan! They were open-minded, easy to communicate with and I received quick responses to most of my silly little questions, as the day drew closer. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the house and grounds were and it was the perfect venue to have all the family (including the children playing games on the lawn to burn off some energy!) Ollie and his staff could not have been more obliging, both during the preparation for the wedding and the day itself, and full of advice and insights of how to get the best of the fabulous location.
