Description
One Whitehall Place sits within The Royal Horseguards Hotel on Victoria Embankment in central London, where couples can hold civil ceremonies in any of four licensed rooms within a 19th-century Victorian building. The architecture includes ornate sculptured ceilings, a grand marble staircase and chandeliers, with views over the River Thames and the London Eye framing parts of the interior.
Ceremonies and receptions take place in historic spaces linked to the hotel’s hospitality offer. After formal proceedings, couples and their guests can remain onsite in the hotel’s suites and rooms, combining celebration and overnight stay. Across the day there are catering options drawn from the hotel’s range of British cuisine, with the possibility of menu tastings ahead of the wedding. - PPatti18/02/2025Stunning venue which was absolutely perfectStunning venue which was absolutely perfectMy daughter wanted a winter/Christmas time wedding and chose this stunning venue which was absolutely perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly and really went the extra mile. The setting was ideal and has great character. We had use of the whole floor so used the magnificent riverside Reading and Writing room for pre dinner drinks and later dancing , and the beautiful adjacent Gladstone library for a superb dinner. We had exclusive use of the other beautiful rooms too. My daughter wanted a winter/Christmas time wedding and chose this stunning venue which was absolutely perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly and really went the extra mile. The setting was ideal and has great character. We were so lucky to find this unique venue and be guided through the planning, the menu tastings and of course the big day itself by the lovely staff at Royal Horseguards. Gloria in particular was a big help. We couldn't have done it without you! All guests said how much they enjoyed themselves and how lovely all the staff were at the venue! We have had TONS of messages from people who were blown away with The Royal Horseguards Hotel. The Library is one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever seen. Everything worked out so so well. Your catering staff were simply brilliant. Your staff in the cloakroom were amazing. There is NOTHING that could have been faulted. I cannot express just how happy I am. We have had TONS of messages from people who were blown away with The Royal Horseguards Hotel. The Library is one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever seen. Everything worked out so so well.
