Description

Nestled in Rhosygilwen’s 55 acres of picturesque grounds is a Pembrokeshire wedding venue like no other. Our venue is split into two wedding spaces, the stunning Orangery and the sophisticated Oak Hall - they are connected and so if you book one, you also have the other available to you - but each is licensed separately to hold Wedding Ceremonies, so you have a choice! The Oak Hall can seat up 150 wedding breakfast guests and 220 evening guests to boogie the night away. Exposed Oak beams and wide windows overlook the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. If you prefer a more intimate ceremony, the Orangery is the perfect space for your day. Bright and airy with lots of natural light and a traditional chequered floor, a ceremony in the picture-perfect Orangery connects you to nature. During your reception, the Orangery is also a great place for people to take a break from dancing the night away.

Rhosygilwen is dedicated to minimising the carbon footprint of weddings that take place in our venue. We power our Oak Hall with electricity from our own solar farm and wind turbine and by utilising batteries for when we are not producing our own electricity. The Hall has an underground heat pump for our underfloor heating. By choosing Rhosygilwen for your wedding venue, you can have a sustainable, carbon-neutral wedding.

Rhosygilwen is a family run business which has been in operation as a Function and Wedding venue with the same ownership since 1994. Over the years we have had many weddings here, but as we don't like production lines and want you to have Your Special Day the way you want it, we will now only have 15 or so Weddings each year. You have Exclusive use of the Oak Hall and the grounds (all 22 acres of gardens) and you couldn't get a better setting! Come and see us!

One of our favourite wedding venues in West Wales.One of our favourite wedding venues in West Wales.
Rhosygilwen is one of our favourite wedding venues in West Wales. It’s got a gorgeous green oak music hall with an airy atrium overlooking the Pembrokeshire countryside. It has some gorgeous grounds, with lakes, woodland, gardens, garden houses, wild meadows and the beautiful Mansion itself. So many different types of location that having photographed here over a dozen times we’ve never had to reuse the same location for couple portraits!Rhosygilwen is one of our favourite wedding venues in West Wales. Amazing staff, amazing venueAmazing staff, amazing venue
After being let down by a local hotel last minute, my now husband and I found ourselves in need of a venue with short notice - not easy with everyone now out of lock down and catching up with weddings!! We approached Rhosygilwen who told us that they had a Yoga retreat booked in for the weekend we needed but they would look into rearranging it for us. We were over the moon when Gabby managed to get our date available for us! Gabby, having helped organise one or two weddings before, was so helpful, knew exactly what we needed, when we needed it, and when Gabby went down with Covid the week of our wedding, the rest of the staff stepped up and helped in every way they possibly could. The DJ, the caterers and any other logistics that needed organising were all done for us and the day went really smoothly - even with the rain! Thank you to everyone at Rhosygilwen for making out wedding day so incredibly special, beyond what we thought we could have had - and thank you John for having such a beautiful garden for our photos! The Oak Hall has stunning oak beams high ceilings, and loads of light from the beautifully shaped windows. The hall also had great acoustics, which was very handy being that Matt serenaded Emma at the end of the ceremony! As an Awarded and Accredited Civil Celebrant I have the lovely pleasure of conducting ceremonies at such wonderful venues. And today I did exactly that! Rhosygilwen Retreat is a Gem of a venue, and buildings are so captivating and have a mixture of Period property's through to modern gothic/barn/hall design, giving this venue a romantic and chic style. Friendly staff and James and his team were so friendly. For a opulent though countryside venue with a difference look no further that this venue.As an Awarded and Accredited Civil Celebrant I have the lovely pleasure of conducting ceremonies at such wonderful venues. And today I did exactly that! We have a small team and they love doing Weddings! We also only carry out 15-20 weddings a year (our choice!) so you will never feel that you are part of a production line!
