Opened by His Royal Highness Edward VII in 1897, the Prince of Wales declared Oxford Town Hall to be ‘the finest rooms of its kind in the Kingdom’. Its remarkable grandeur and elegance has been expertly maintained for over 120 years, providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding. Oxford Town Hall is perfect for a ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast or fully seated dining reception. Whether you are looking for an intimate wedding with 10 to 20 close friends or a larger affair with 500 guests, Oxford Town Hall ensures your wedding at will be tailored to meet your needs.

What's Included?
Our ceremony‑only hire includes two hours of venue access along with use of our tables and chairs, with peak and off‑peak pricing available. For receptions, we offer exclusive venue hire for 12 hours- including set‑up, your celebration and clearance, plus use of our tables and chairs.

The town hall staff were friendly and helpful and set up the room exactly how we had envisioned it. The Town Hall exclusively used Elegant Cuisine as their caterers and we were absolutely thrilled with the food and the customer service from start to finish. Bayley and Alison were responsive and easy to contact when we had queries in the planning stages and Bayley and Ellie looked after us brilliantly on the day too. The food was superb and even my mother (who was dubious about our all veggie/vegan menu) was impressed.We had our reception in The Assembly Room in April 2024 and it was an absolutely stunning venue. In all aspects of the planning, Sukh was really great, she was attentive and quick in responding to my questions. Mike, the registrar was great, he made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
