Pedro’s Wine Bar is an effortlessly cool, independently owned wine and tapas bar nestled in the heart of Bermondsey—one of South East London’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Born from a passion for bringing the finest Portuguese wines to Londoners, Pedro’s began as OPS Wines, an importer and wholesaler, and has since evolved into a buzzing bar and bottle shop showcasing the best of Portugal’s wine and culinary culture.
Tucked inside a striking railway arch along the iconic Bermondsey Beer Mile, just a short stroll from Tower Bridge, Pedro’s offers a refreshingly unique venue that blends old-world charm with contemporary edge. Spanning two levels and featuring a private outdoor garden, it’s a flexible space that can be tailored for everything from intimate gatherings to full-blown parties—accommodating up to 150 guests.
Expect an ultra-stylish interior where vintage vibes meet industrial chic: exposed brick walls, a sleek glass-and-steel mezzanine, handcrafted upcycled wood floors, and a statement granite bar. The space is built to transform—perfect for drinks, grazing tables, seated dinners, or dancing into the early hours. A top-tier sound system is included, with room for a live DJ or live music if you're planning a proper celebration.
On the menu? Award-winning Portuguese wines, craft cocktails, and Portuguese beers, paired with delicious sharing plates and small bites made with ingredients from fellow independent businesses. Our venue is available on a ‘Minimum Spend’ basis.
This effectively means you can rent the venue for free, as long as you and your guests spend a minimum amount on food and drinks during the event. (see table below). If the minimum spend is not achieved, the balance is paid by the wedding organiser.
Where events offer complimentary food and/or drinks, guests will enjoy an ‘open’ bar until the pre-determined amount has been reached, at which point guests will begin paying for themselves.

We’ve been fans of Pedro’s for a long time as every time we’ve been here we’ve had excellent service, food and wine. Which is why we decided to have our wedding reception here earlier this month, and we absolutely made the right decision. Pedro and his staff were so helpful in the lead up, making our planning feel effortless and easy. There was no question too difficult for them to answer, and they gave so much useful guidance. The day itself was perfect. All 125 of our guests had the most brilliant day, we were made to feel so welcome right from the canapés and welcome drinks to the end of the night at 2am! So many of our guests said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and the wine and cocktails (so many espresso martinis!) were delicious too. The staff and Pedro himself are wonderful, thank you for making our special day so memorable and perfect. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the day seamless. The service was incredible – they took such care in helping our less mobile guests, kept drinks topped up without us even noticing, and set up the venue beautifully. The food was outstanding - multiple people told us it was the best quality wedding food they'd ever had. Pedro himself added such personal touches and even offered to drive us to London Bridge for some sunset scenic photos. We had a cheese cake delivered from a third-party, and Pedro's head chef arranged it so elegantly that it looked like it had always been part of the plan. It was 100% perfect for a London city wedding – intimate, stylish, and run by people who genuinely care. The venue itself is gorgeous, loads of character and really nice decor. We ordered plenty of food and drinks at a really good price too. The whole atmosphere was great, the music was perfect and there was a nice buzz. We went for a initial meeting and had some complementary drinks, we bought lunch, 6 year old loved it and Pedro was very enthusiastic and had lots of ideas too. The sparkling wine was excellent and the food too. Pedro accommodated our cake and cheese requirements. We had a breakout area for the kids and we were able to have a ceilidh band in the evening. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Instead of a first dance, the bride and groom had a choreographed sword fight and it was AMAZING! Best wedding dress swooshing I've ever seen.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
A wall of 200 year old brick set in with brimming wines racks. Urban, chic and utterly unique.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Keith Lemon filmed a bit for his tv show in our venue last year!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our gorgeous Cerignola Olives are the best ever. I could eat them all day.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Nothing beats some sourdough bread and our selection of Portuguese cheeses - a brilliant late night snack at a wedding, it gives your guests the energy to keep dancing!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We love the handmade upcycled wooden flooring on the mezzanine - it brings so much character, but the colour is so neutral, it will compliment any colour scheme.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Hmmm.... it's hard to choose. Our wines are our passion, but we also really love the bar as a place to chill out, or party, or celebrate - it works for all occasions! We're also very proud of our hardworking team!
