Old Queen Street Café is a Georgian townhouse wedding venue tucked just moments from Westminster Abbey and the historic streets surrounding Parliament Square.
Many couples begin their day with a ceremony at a nearby church or registry office before gathering here for champagne, candlelight and a wedding breakfast shared with the people they love most.
Step through the door and the pace softens. Original floorboards beneath your feet, rooms filled with conversation, and long tables where celebrations unfold naturally.
A new chapter for weddings at Old Queen Street
Weddings at Old Queen Street Café began in 2025, as part of a considered evolution of the townhouse into a space for private celebrations.
While the setting itself carries centuries of history, weddings here are a more recent addition, giving couples the opportunity to host something that still feels personal, undiscovered and entirely their own.
A Westminster Setting Steeped in History
Set on a quiet street behind Parliament Square, Old Queen Street Café sits among some of London’s most iconic landmarks.
Within a short walk you’ll find Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and St James’s Park, creating a remarkable backdrop for photographs and celebrations in the heart of the city.
Guests arrive through streets shaped by centuries of London history before stepping into the warmth of the townhouse for drinks, dinner and celebration.
The House
Weddings take place across a collection of characterful rooms on the upper floors of the Georgian townhouse.
Guests often begin with champagne and conversation in the Club Bar before moving through to The Library for a candlelit wedding breakfast, where long tables fill the room and the celebration gathers pace.
The building itself sets the tone. The walls are lined with photography by Martin Parr capturing moments of everyday English life, while the original floorboards underfoot were rehomed from Winston Churchill’s Old War Office.
The atmosphere is elegant but comfortable, a place where guests settle in, conversation flows, and celebrations feel natural.
Food & Dining
At Old Queen Street Café, food sits at the centre of the celebration.
