The Okeover Arms is a charming, 18th century, Grade II listed building and family-run venue that caters to all visitors, including dogs and children. Nestled on the edge of the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, within easy travelling distance of Alton Towers, Carsington Water, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock Bath. The historic market town of Ashbourne is only a 5-minute drive away.
With a rustic yet modern atmosphere, you’ll feel right at home as soon as you step through our doors. Indulge in the finest food and drink crafted from locally sourced produce, offering a delightful fusion of traditional English & Asian inspired flavours. The Okeover Arms also has a large outdoor seating area along with a children's play area, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and delicious foot while overlooking the scenic countryside views we are surrounded by.
We also have a large outdoor marquee which is perfect for special events and gatherings.
The Okeover Arms also offers 3 large, fully furnished, double ensuite bedrooms, with plush pillows, firm mattresses and cosy duvets for a comfortable night’s sleep. Each room features large windows showcasing the beautiful outdoors, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV with Freeview channels plus tea and coffee making facilities. Do we host wedding ceremonies?
We do not current have the license to host wedding ceremonies, but this is something we will definitely will be looking in the future to aquire!
In the mean time, we suggest couple have their ceremony wherever they wish, whether it be a church, registry office or somewhere close by in the area so the Newly Weds and their guest can take a small journey to our lovely, cosy country pub where they can officially let their hair down, enjoy some delicious food and dance the night away!
Is the reception inside, outside or both?
Couples have the option to do whichever they would prefer.
We can offer inclusive use of both inside and outside of our pub. We have a capacity of 70 people inside of our restaurant as well as in our large marquee we have outside next to our large garden with beautiful views of the countryside.
What kind of atmosphere can the guests expect?
The atmosphere we love our guests to have is 'a home away from home'. We are a family run business and we like to see both our Employees and the people that come to visit us, a part of that family. We would hope you all would feel relaxed and without a worry in the word. That being said, we will ensure that your wedding will be organised and presented in the most professional and efficient way possible to ensure a smooth and perfect day.
What is the food situation?
As we have already established ourselves as a pub with great food, all of your food will be made in house. Our Main Menu features a number of Classic English dishes, Traditional Indian dishes, along with a few fusions of the two. You are free to create a menu of your own from the choices already available on our menu or you can add some of your own. It is your day so we want you to have the perfect day along with the perfect menu! We do also cater for any allergies or dietary requirements. Please get in touch is there are anything menu related you would like to discuss.
Is there parking near by?
Yes! Our own car park is very large. We could accommodate up to 30 cars but there is also a lot of on street parking just outside.
