The National Space Centre is the UK’S only venue dedicated to the romance, history and exploration of space. Housing a collection of unique artefacts and exhibits, it is an inspiring backdrop to your dreams of a life together, future journeys and your place among the stars. The National Space Centre offers unique and memorable locations from our 42 metre Rocket Tower to the UK’s largest Planetarium. Whether you’re looking for a unique civil ceremony, a wedding reception or a full wedding package, every enquiry is tailored to meet your individual wedding dreams.
Your Ceremony
The Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium will take you along with your friends and family across the universe with a spectacular 360-degree cinematic experience. Exclusive use of the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium for your Ceremony, to get married underneath the stars. Enjoy cocktails, a champagne reception and canapes in the Rocket Tower before dining in one of our unique locations after the drinks reception.
If you are looking for an intimate small wedding ceremony only from 15 to 192 guests please do contact us for more details for our wedding ceremony packages.

Wedding reception
Excite and inspire your guests by hosting your wedding reception amongst unique artefacts and exhibits in our space themed galleries. Yours exclusively for the evening, the galleries can seat between 50-300 guests for a formal seat down wedding breakfast and up to 500 guests for a more informal celebration.
The National Space Centre have in-house chefs who take care of the catering for your wedding and will also be happy to customise a menu just for you.
Our emphasis is on quality of service. Whether helping you to arrange your wedding ceremony, or simply hosting your reception, the events team at the National Space Centre will attend to everything with an experienced, friendly and professional approach.

I had a nervous mum thanks to choosing such a unique venue, but my parents, family and our guests were swept off their feet by how incredible it all was. The team looked after us from the minute we stepped into the venue, and made sure we and all of our guests had a night to remember. The buffet was incredible, the decorations were indescribably fantastic (we couldn't believe how beautiful it looked) and having our ceremony in the stunning planetarium just blew us away. We would thank the team every day for the rest of our lives if we could, as it's a wedding that everyone from young to old said it was the best wedding they've been to, with so much fun to be had. Even families who came from so far, had planned to leave by 8pm, but were still on the dance floor as no one wanted to leave! You deserve all the awards on this planet, and were by our sides from start to finish. I also wanted to send love to all the waiting and events staff for smiling all through the night too, making it feel like you were enjoying yourselves too - it made a difference to us.
