At Middle Coombe Farm we specialise in weekend weddings of 20-110 guests. Our historic, sustainably run 400 acre farm, cider barn & woodlands are exclusively yours from Friday morning until Monday morning. Although we are now offer a One day package too.
We have been hosting weddings at Middle Coombe Farm for 14 years & all our couples tell us a weekend together is a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends for one of the most important events of your life.
Magical & relaxed are two words used to sum up weddings at Middle Coombe Farm. The countryside & feeling of Middle Coombe Farm adds lightness to your event whilst the history of the house means your wedding is still rooted in reality and serious in the right places.
We are licensed for ceremonies in the gorgeous, thatched, cider barn, drawing room of the grade II* listed farmhouse (for more intimate ceremonies) and now also under the oak tree in woodlands surrounded by nature.

The accomodation on site was lovely and had everything we needed, the swimming pool and hot tub were such great additions and were well used by our group! In terms of the wedding venue itself, it’s absolutely stunning. It’s very ‘real’ Devon and the grounds are beautiful. Angela and the whole team went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day. It is such a beautiful space, with a lovely vibe. A good friend of mine was wed here too and she still raves about it. Before I get onto the site I have to mention how wonderful the staff are. So warm and friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much to ask and it feels like a home from home. The woodland area where you can get married under a giant ancient oak is nothing short of spectacular. There are woodland walks perfect for beautiful photos. The option of having an indoor ceremony is the stunning cider barn. It really is a magical place that is unlike any other venue I have been to. I LOVE working at Middle Coombe Farm, It is incredible! Before I get onto the site I have to mention how wonderful the staff are. So warm and friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much to ask and it feels like a home from home. The woodland setting is magical, the accommodation quirky and comfortable plus the pool, jacuzzi, fire pit & BBQ area made great places for social gatherings. A huge thank you to Angela and all the staff for pulling out all the stops to make the weekend so enjoyable whilst adhering to Covid regulations. You made sure that we all had a wonderful time and we hope to return in the future for a family get together for those who couldn't be make it due to Covid.We have just returned from a very special wedding weekend for my daughter Katie and her fiancé Christoff . The owner and staff here are absolutely brilliant, the whole place is heaven on earth. The venue for the wedding, set in the mature old woods under a huge old oak tree, I have never experienced anything like it. Words don't do it justice you must see it yourself. There are so many different areas that are beautiful but personally it's probably the oak tree ceremony site in our woodlands.

S'mores toasted on the courtyard's huge open fire.

Our ancient oak tree ceremony site set in the woodlands and 400 acres of exclusivity...
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our environmental awareness. Which has changed throughout the years from taking our recycling to the recycling centre in the early years, to the more current drive to reduce food waste and single use plastics. Which our couples in the last 3 years have really taken on board. Also taking care of the historical Grade II* buildings with great love and our team, of course!
