Maunsel House

Unfortunately Maunsel House have taken the money of all couples marrying in 2022 but have shut the house down. They are not responding to phone calls, emails or letters. They have taken everyone’s money, refused a refund and couples cannot marry there. Please do not attempt to book this venue to avoid the heartbreak and disappointment we are feeling.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for making our wedding so special and memorable. You were all absolutely fantastic and so attentive to all the small details and ensured our schedule ran to plan. The transition between different events was seamless on the day and we couldn’t have done it without your hard work. Chand and I couldn’t have asked for a better location to have our civil wedding. From the peacocks to all the beautiful grounds, our guests were truly mesmerised. Our family and friends were so impressed by the outstanding service. The team were all lovely and looked after everyone so well.

Thank you so much for all you did to make our wedding so wonderful. We enjoyed every second - as did our guests. The hard work and professionalism you showed was outstanding and something we are incredibly grateful for. We will remember your kindness, dedication and time forever.

THANK YOU for everything you all did for us last week. Your flexibility and helpfulness throughout the day and the morning after was so appreciated. I know we veered off-plan a little bit, and the fact that you just rolled with it with no complaint was amazing. There have been a few comments from the guests about yourselves and how wonderful you were, which is a great piece of feedback for us.

Hattie, Michaela and the whole team at Maunsel House were fantastic and made our whole wedding planning experience and weekend incredibly relaxed and enjoyable. They made COVID postponements, last minute accommodation changes and the shift to an undercover, in-house catered, 15-person affair feel like the simplest matter in the world (covering for what I know was a huge amount of hard work!) Maunsel is a beautiful location and the service, food and facilities were brilliant throughout the weekend. We enjoyed every moment of planning our wedding with both Hattie and Michaela which we know from others’ experience is incredibly rare. We can’t wait to come back next year and doing it all over again with a bigger crowd!

Our wedding was amazing, the staff were brilliant with helping managing the Covid-19 requirements and making sure the wedding could go ahead. Brilliant staff working in a house that's got fascinating history. Thank you again for hosting and helping with the wedding.

Unique 13th century Manor House in stunning gardens

The team at Maunsel has been absolutely brilliant from the outset from our original pre-Covid plans all the way through to our (twice) replanned mini wedding for 15. We genuinely had the most amazing day and couldn't have asked for anything better. Everything ran so smoothly, the team were wonderful both on the day and the night before. The food was absolutely gorgeous and it felt incredibly special just having our chosen few there. Despite everything going on lately it did not take away from the charm of the house and we are really glad we went through with our mini-mony. Very much looking forward to coming back in 2022 for our bigger, original reception.

We cannot thank you enough for the most wonderful weekend we spent with you on Saturday and Sunday, The most interesting building and decor set the atmosphere, but it was yourselves and your staff that really made us feel welcome and comfortable. As we were able touch all the fabulous treasures the party got off to a very excited start. The bedrooms are unbelievably beautiful and made us feel very important and completely spoilt.

Had our wedding at Maunsel House this weekend and the venue and staff could not have been better. Nothing was too much trouble and they went the extra mile to ensure the day was perfect. The setting is beautiful and the house is one of the most fascinating and interesting places around. I would 100% recommend this venue to any couple considering it as a venue for their big day.
