Available for weddings and other events also with studio space for photography and artists they hold poetry and writing events. A carafe of water and glasses were promptly provided without us asking. Despite a busy kitchen, our server took our complex orders with ease, and all dishes arrived quickly, exactly as requested, and freshly prepared. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Overall, a fantastic visit!We visited Hospitalfield to explore the gardens and enjoy a light lunch. We could only view it from the outside, as tours are only available during limited times of the year. Now an arts centre, the site was founded in the 13th century by abbey monks. The Fraser family later owned it and made significant renovations. The Gothic house is beautiful, and while the garden is still developing, the dedicated gardeners are transforming it. Don’t miss the Eduardo Paolozzi sculpture and the charming café! On our way to Arbroath Abbey, we stopped by this historic house.
