- RRoss I Jam01/12/2025A Lovely Stay A Lovely StayWe recently enjoyed a 1 night stay at Holbrook Manor, we were visiting the area to visit some nearby attractions, and found the hotel. It was good value for money and money well spent. the rooms were very clean, and comfortable, and looked to be recently renovated. Enjoyed a nice peaceful sleep and staff were friendly too. Making the booking was very easy and welcoming. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool, steam room and sauna was an added bonus for an all time relaxation time. Our Room (room 12) was very spacious and clean! We both slept so well. The breakfast was great with a good selection to offer. That could be one of the reasons that one reviewer thought there was a restaurant. All in all we found the Holbrook Manor provided very good value, our room was recently refurbished to a high standard, although perhaps an additional comfortable chair would enhance its deliberately minimal design. We decided to give it a go, and I am so glad we did, because what a lovely day we had! The building is beautiful and in a lovely setting. Everyone was very helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean and the organisation of our celebration event was exceptional. Looking back through most of the poor reviews it is obvious that people have not realised that this is an event venue (weddings, birthdays, celebrations) with accommodation, not really a standard hotel.
