Holbeck Ghyll - Lake View Country House Hotel

Fabulous hotel , full of character. Service was great. A big thank you to Tom who from greeting us to checking out was superb, thanks to all the team for looking after my wife and I.

We recently had a fantastic stay at Holbeck Ghyll, the views are incredible enough to warrant a stay on there own but the hotel, food and service are also absolutely wonderful. Tom is a great host, really warm and friendly, you really get the feeling like he cares about making your stay as good as possible. The food was amazing, had the 9 course tasting menu and it was brilliant, my fiancé is vegetarian and she was well catered for too.

An amazing hotel with amazing views. The staff are very friendly and keen to help. The rooms are spacious and it’s got lovely walking areas with beautiful scenery. I will definitely stay there again when I visit the Lake District.

Just stayed there for my niece’s wedding fabulous location quality food and the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble . Made our stay special they went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend to everyone thankyou

Having fell in love with the hotel upon our first visit back in 2019 we took the decision to choose Holbeck Ghyll as the venue for our wedding day and we are so glad we did. Firstly I would like to thank all of the staff at Holbeck Ghyll who during our stay for three nights were simply incredible and helped to ensure our wedding day was truly the greatest day our mine and my wife lives so far

This is an amazing place to stay, we stayed for 2 nights in room no 4 overlooking Lake Windermere, whilst attending a wedding last weekend, held within the hotel. Tom and his team can’t do enough for you, what a great bunch of staff. The food is truly amazing, full English with top quality produce, cooked to your own specifications. The wedding food was some of the best I’ve eaten. In fact, the onion soup starter was the best starter I’ve possibly ever had.

We held our wedding here at the end of bank holiday weekend, which was incredible. The hotel was fantastic, all rooms were spotless with fantastic views over the lake. As a wedding venue it was perfect. Tom and the team worked tirelessly with us and our suppliers to ensure the weekend ran smoothly. All staff were really hard working whilst being friendly with all the guests. The food from the kitchen over the weekend was all delicious.

My son and daughter in law's wedding was superb in every sense; the venue, the rooms, the setting, the food, and the service. Traditional wedding menu with a fine dining twist couldn't be faulted. The views were fantastic, helped by the weather over the weekend. The band 'The Daddy-O's' played outdoors on the terrace overlooking the lake until midnight, which added to the great wedding party atmosphere.

I was fortunate to be able at attend friends wedding at Holbeck Ghyll and it could not have been more perfect. Beautiful location, friendly and attentive staff for whom nothing was touch trouble. Rooms were lovely clean and welcoming. Cant wait to go back.
