A fabulous rural venue, set on a gorgeous farm estate near Stonyhurst, this beautiful wedding venue is the perfect place for a unique and unforgettable wedding day.
With panoramic views across the countryside and down towards the river Ribble, Hobbit Hill is an idyllic blank canvas to create your dream wedding. Exclusively yours for the entirety of your wedding weekend. Our Wedding Barn is the perfect location for your special day, seating up to 130 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 180 guests for your evening celebration or 250 across 2 spaces. The Wedding Barn is be a truly stunning rustic barn with oak trusses up to the roof. Bring the outside in with our bi-folding doors which open the full length of the barn, either side of a feature oak and glass porch.
Enjoy the flexibility of an outdoor candlelit woodland ceremony in Hobbit Hill's own Round Wood with tree trunk seating for your guests or in our natural indoor space with beautiful views creating the perfect setting for the I do's. The rolling fields, woodland and riverside setting of Hobbit Hill, provide endless photo opportunities and ample space for the grandest of celebrations or the most intimate of gatherings!
You will be able to retreat with your guests to the secluded bliss of the 5 cosy Hobbit Hill glamping pods, the stunning views of the luxury lodge, and new to 2023 "The Shire" featuring open plan kitchen diner, beauty room, deluxe bridal suite and 2 double bedrooms.
We have two approved caterers for you to choose from, ensuring the finest quality and variations of food for your day. From a three-course wedding breakfast to BBQ's and sharing boards, our caterers have lots of options for you to chose from.
The experienced and dedicated team at Hobbit Hill offer a bespoke wedding package, designed to cover every part of your day with a fully-staffed bar included.

When we parked up at Hobbit Hill and got out of the car we just knew it was 'the one'!. Jen is a family friend so we knew we were in good hands from the start. Over the two years of planning, she was on hand to answer any questions we had and didn't mind when we turned up to nearly every wedding fair with a list of questions and always responded to our emails (I say we but I completely mean me!). When our time (finally!) arrived, we were allowed access the day before to set up and I also stayed in The Shire the night before with my bridesmaids. I loved being able to do this as it made the morning of the wedding as stress free as possible as everything was done and I was already there. We had the most perfect day in the most beautiful surroundings, all our guests were very complimentary of the venue, the grounds and the staff. Jen and the team did a fantastic job looking after us, our families and all our guests. We cannot thank them enough for the part they played in making our day as wonderful and as memorable as it was.
