High Lodge is a family run business entirely focused on providing an exceptionally high standard for your wedding. The principle aim of our caring and professional team is to ensure that you and your guests are able to simply relax and enjoy your celebration, secure in the knowledge that every detail will have been taken care of exactly as planned.
The venue offers a great location just off the A12 between Aldeburgh and Southwold with a beautiful long drive from the main road through a picturesque golf course, our Champion Suite offers flexibility to accommodate both large numbers or a intimate gathering. The suite offers a modern feel with restrooms, bar lounge and patio area exclusive to you and your guests.
We have en-site accommodation with 19 beautiful onsite Luxury Lodges, a number of those also have private hot tubs allow you to make your wedding a weekend or midweek affair. Our lodges are ideally located within walking distance of the Champion Suite making them the ideal location to stay in to relax at the end of your special day.
The venue is licensed to conduct Civil Ceremonies to so the complete package is available.
Our beautiful setting amongst open space adjacent to the golf course and lakes offers a pretty location for your pictures.
We have a range of packages available or you could choose to have a Bespoke Package tailored to your specific requirements.

The 10 of us spent the day for a friend's (stag do) which comprised of archery, clay shooting then finished with air rifle target shooting. The instructors were fantastic and their expertise/knowledge really showed in making you a better shot than your last which in turn made you feel more confident. Then there's the food, bacon roll for breakfast tea/coffee, a variety for lunch but I had the curry, absolutely delicious! Thanks for a great day, I will definitely be returning... 😎👍🏼Absolutely brilliant day enjoyed by all! - DDawn Hider25/04/2023Fantastic weekendFantastic weekendWe have had a fantastic weekend in Woodpecker Lodge and attended a wedding reception at the main venue, and have thoroughly enjoyed High Lodge - from the very friendly welcome, to the staff at the reception everyone has been so so lovely . The Lodge was perfect - very clean - had everything we needed and the staff had tried to keep it cool during this heatwave. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully clean hot tub ! The wedding reception was perfect and such a comfortable venue - all on one level and well thought out - attentive service again and good food. Caroline and her team were wonderful and I highly recommend High Lodge if you want to enjoy your wedding day. The venue is romantic and simple, we were able to decorate it to our own preferences. The food was faultless, designed to our specific request and the personal waiter service was discreet. From the day we met with Caroline she understood our wedding day ideas and maintained that focus of planning our special day despite all the change of dates and fluctuating guest numbers and challenges due to the unexpected pandemic.
