Sous chef saves the day!Sous chef saves the day!
Our daughter had her wedding reception at this hotel.The location both within the hotel and outside in the grounds is lovely, the food was good and the staff welcoming, efficient and very helpful.A particular mention must be made about the sous chef,Joe, who on the day of the reception came to the rescue when there was a problem with the decoration of the wedding cake. Realising this, he stepped in ( telling us not to worry whilst we went off to the church) and promptly decorated the four layers of butter creamed sponge cake himself to beautiful effect.Our daughter had her wedding reception at this hotel.The location both within the hotel and outside in the grounds is lovely, the food was good and the staff welcoming, efficient and very helpful.A particular mention must be made about the sous chef,Joe, who on the day of the reception came to the rescue when there was a problem with the decoration of the wedding cake. Our wedding day couldn’t of been any better , with the help on the day by Katie and all its staff it run smoothly. Our guests are still saying how great the food was and what lovely surroundings the hotel is situated in. We had a fantastic wedding celebration at Grims Dyke hotel. We and our guests stayed at the hotel for two nights. The hotel is beautiful, its surrounded by amazing gardens and there are some nice paths around to enjoy a walk. nothing else around it, so it was perfect for us and just what we wanted, to get away from London and have a romantic and quiet time. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and pretty. the beds were a bit tough and so were the pillows, but other than that we had absolutely no complaints. the breakfast was great. The hotel staff is awesome, at the reception, at the restaurant and so on, everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I even left some gold jewelry behind in my room and it was found and kept at the reception for me! amazing! Our wedding was organized by Daniela Hunt and she was just great! the food was amazing, good wine and all the staff made us feel very special. We held our wedding here earlier this month, and it was a great success. The Grim's Dyke team were very helpful and well-organised. We went for the summer special package, and all of the hotel's vendors were very helpful and delivered perfectly on the day. It's a great location, easy to reach from London but still private and special. All of our guests were very complimentary. The choux swans for dessert were a particularly big hit!We held our wedding here earlier this month, and it was a great success. The Grim's Dyke team were very helpful and well-organised. We went for the summer special package, and all of the hotel's vendors were very helpful and delivered perfectly on the day. It's a great location, easy to reach from London but still private and special. All of our guests were very complimentary. The choux swans for dessert were a particularly big hit!

The most amazing wedding venue.The most amazing wedding venue.
I cannot rate this venue highly enough. We married at the Grim’s Dyke Hotel in Harrow Weald in September this year, and we can honestly say the whole experience and service we received was absolutely faultless. We had the Grand Duke package and also booked around 30-40 rooms and all our guests were absolutely smitten by the venue, surroundings, superb staff and also the food that was served! We went for a taster evening before we chose the menu, which was complimentary ( we received the cost of this off the final price) and we were really delighted with it, however, on the day and when the hotel were serving 80 odd guests, they simply excellent themselves with fillet of beef that melted in the mouth! The hotel welcomed our youngest guests too as we wanted to have the children in our family present. We stayed for the day before the wedding and a for few days afterwards. The staff could not do enough for us during the entire time, nothing was too much trouble for them and we were treated like royalty. Staff were efficient yet unobtrusive and I would particularly like to thank Richard, Angela, Katie and Claire who were simply excellent. The serving and bar staff were faultless too. All the rooms were perfect; spotless and beautifully decorated. Our package included a string quartet, flowers, photography and so much more. It was the day of our dreams and we will continue to stay there just because it is such a lovely experience. If anyone is thinking of using the Grim’s Dyke for their wedding, then I would urge you to at least pay them a visit; I think you will be very pleased that you did.I cannot rate this venue highly enough.
