Originally founded in 1908, the current-day Yacht Club is a light and spacious two-storey building with amazing views across the Thames to Millennium Dome, and the Thames Barrier. When booking your wedding with Greenwich Yacht Club, you will have the choice between their two function rooms. Both The Clubhouse and The River Rooms are both flooded with natural light and would make the perfect location for you to celebrate saying ‘I do’ to that special someone. The River Rooms are comprised of three separate spaces including outdoor decking that would make the perfect location for you to get truly unforgettable wedding photos. We wanted to drop you a note and say thank you for everything you did for us in the lead up to Saturday. We had the most incredible day. It was absolutely amazing and the Yacht Club looked stunning. Everyone was so helpful on the day including Jack. We feel so lucky to have had our wedding there. It truly was an amazing day. Thank you again! Having photographed over 500 weddings in 12 years I feel I am quite well place to review wedding venues. Greenwich Yacht Club is one of the most unique venues I shoot at. The staff are brilliant and the two different venues on site really compliment each other. The food is amazing by the way. Will was very helpful both prior to and on the day itself. He quickly answered all questions we had and gave us suggestions but adapted for any ideas we had. Absolutely lovely venue. A hidden gem on the Thames, The manager Will is a great guy, not always easy to get a hold of will always get back to you. We had our wedding at GYC on the 19th April 19 and it couldn't have gone smoother! From the original venue visit to after the day, communication was great and everyone was so helpful on the lead up to the day and even better than i could have imagined on the day! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here and we had the best day ever, thanks to the excellent management from the very start in the planning, throughout the whole day and to finish, thanks to venue manager Will and his brilliant team of chefs, waiting staff and the unforgettable bar manager and team. It simply was the easiest of transitions from beautiful light and airy ceremony room to intimate dining and spacious dance floor. The bar and outside patio area provides excellent space and hospitality in between changeovers and we have the most beautiful photos which captured the amazing location on the river. Thank you all, for facilitating in the happiest day of my life!
