Gara Rock is a luxury wedding venue and hotel located near Salcombe, Devon. Tucked away at the end of rural lanes, you may feel as though you have stepped into another world. Here, couples can celebrate their wedding with the south coast of England as their backdrop. The venue itself is nestled on a hilltop, ensuring that couples and their guests have plenty of views. It is a tranquil setting ideal for magical celebrations. The hotel is licensed for ceremonies in several spots, allowing you to host your entire day in one place. And after the dining and dancing have come to a close, the couple and their loved ones can retreat to the hotel's guestrooms.

Weddings at Gara Rock
Our Exclusive Use Weddings are truly magical, perfect for larger celebrations with up to a maximum of 100 guests. With exclusive use of the full hotel and all our accommodations, you can relax knowing all your loved ones can spend quality time together in one place. Our exclusive use hire is 2 nights minimum (except permitted low-season midweek dates), giving you the chance to extend your wedding celebrations. As the hotel will be closed to other guests, we require a minimum of 50 guests.
A Secret Suite Wedding is perfect for those couples who are looking for a smaller, more intimate wedding celebration. The secret suite is separate from the hotel, with a beautiful glazed wall overlooking the sea. The ceremony and drinks reception can be held in the suite giving you complete privacy. The wedding breakfast would be held on the private dining table just off the lounge in the main hotel. Our Secret Suite Weddings are suitable for a maximum of 10 guests, including the wedding couple.
(We offer either exclusive use or secret suite weddings at Gara Rock. We cannot cater for weddings over 10 guests while still open to other hotel guests as our larger weddings are held in the restaurant and lounge area)

The 'exclusive use' of the hotel makes you feel like you're tucked away in your own private beach house with all your close friends and family - a truly memorable and fantastic experience. If you’re looking for somewhere special with an amazing team behind it - this is it. We were blessed with incredible sunrises and sunsets, as well as calm frosty seas for refreshing swims. All of our guests (and ourselves) were blown away by the high level of detail in each and every room. You really can’t beat accommodation like this (especially with the spa facilities too)Our wedding weekend at Gara Rock was nothing short of spectacular. The venue, for one, is stunning. Firstly, the venue, Gara Rock is absolutely beautiful and if you want the wow factor it definitely has that, from the lounge, restaurant, terrace, spa to guest rooms the whole place is tastefully decorated and even better, exclusively for you! Secondly, the food and drink at Gara Rock is amazing!!
