Not only is the hotel a fantastic place to stay but they really took it up to another level to provide first rate service for us. From allowing us to set up the day before took all the stress from the actual day away to allowing us to have all our needs catered for. Our wedding coordinator; Phillipa, was an absolute pleasure to work with!!! She looked after us from start to finish and she is an absolute credit to the hotel! Her perfectionist attitude and eye for detail made the day run care-free and smooth! Also I would like to mention the C&B Manager Peter, who is also a huge credit to Five Lakes. He made the day/evening and morning after run like clockwork!!! All in all my wife and I could not have asked for a better day and if we could do it all over again we would in a heartbeat. Me and my now to be called wife held our wedding at Five Lakes Resort in August 2019 and what a great wedding we had. Our wedding coordinator was amazing, and she ensured we had everything we needed for our big day, that food was labeled for our guests allergies, and made the whole planning process easy. She also helped me with my belongings in my room, as I had sadly broken my leg weeks before the big day. Would definitely recommend :).My (now) husband and I had our wedding reception here, and we had the best time. Everything went pretty much perfectly, and to plan. Ted the Toastmaster, who came as part of the wedding package, was excellent, in fact outstanding. The food throughout the day was superb and exceeded our expectation. We would have given a 5* rating but despite highlighting special dietary requirements, one of our guests was given the incorrect dish. Overall our wedding day at Five Lakes Resort was everything we had hoped and planned for and more. It was just beautiful. We had an amazing day! She is literally the best wedding coordinator and went above and beyond to help us out! She restored our faith in Five Lakes and made our wedding a dream come true! She became more like our friend than our wedding coordinator! Philippa, Peter and our toast master Ted all did such a fantastic job at making our wedding run smoothly and all are a credit to the hotel! I will be recommending Five Lakes to anyone who is planning a wedding all because of Philippa and Peter because they were just amazing! I was even upset to say goodbye to Philippa because we have just loved meeting up with her and she has always been there for us and helped us to relax! Not only is the location stunning but is very welcoming giving it a comforting and warm relaxing atmosphere. My wedding planners Sophie and Francesca went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. They thought of everything and spent time getting to know us to make sure they knew exactly what we would want. They were so supportive running up to the wedding and on the day! It literally couldn't have been more perfect and went past in a magical blissful blur. I got married here November of last year and my wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Not only is the location stunning but is very welcoming giving it a comforting and warm relaxing atmosphere. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's all about the finer detail. The day should reflect you and your partner. Make sure you're happy and comfortable with the running order of your day so that you can build around it. Remember it's your celebration.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Chilli seeds to plant as favours with 'the spice of life is love' written on the packet was quite cool. Also kids colouring pencils with names etched on them with a cartoon of the couple caricatured for them to colour in was a nice touch.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our beautiful lakes at sunset. Alternatively the staircase in our Atrium is a very popular spot and oozes class and sophistication.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had a whole host of celebrities here at the resort however none have tied the knot here.
What’s your favourite canapé?
My favourite canapé is roast beef, Yorkshire pudding with horseradish cream.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A large slice of chocolate gateaux (did I say slice?)
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our wonderful pagoda for summer drinks receptions or our huge Christmas tree in winter.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our dedicated and hardworking team. They're a good bunch.
