- AAmanda H27/04/2022Amazing Wedding VenueAmazing Wedding VenueAfter a few visits to this hotel last year, we booked it for our wedding on 22nd May. We had friends and family staying over at the hotel, so were able to book the whole hotel for exclusive use - definitely a plus! The management and staff were excellent and looked after us and our guests - we couldn't fault them. I am amazed at how reasonable their wedding rates are compared to other hotels in Hampshire and to be able to have this wonderful country house to ourselves for the day/night was very special. Mark was so helpful as our point of contact and followed my instructions for the day to the letter. We were blessed with wonderful weather which helped us to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the hotel and there was plenty of seating outside to accommodate our guests for a glass of prosecco after the ceremony. We had a relatively small number of guests - 35 - and enjoyed the intimate setting of the Tapestry room for the ceremony. The hotel did an amazing job of transforming this room for the wedding breakfast while we were outside having the photographs taken and enjoying the sunshine. Everyone said that the hotel was a perfect setting for the wedding and those guests that stayed were more than happy with their accommodation. The wedding breakfast itself was delicious and, as we had given a list of menu choices and requests to the hotel beforehand, everyone was served the right dishes without any fuss. As we had exclusive use of the hotel, we were able to set up a sound system for the evening and a small dance floor was available in the Tapestry Room. As the bride and groom, we had the Honeymoon Suite as part of the package and the jacuzzi bath in this suite is wonderful - big enough for four - but ideal for two! All in all, we couldn't fault the hotel and some of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had been to!
