Gosfield Hall is a stunning Georgian manor house offered exclusively to you for your wedding day. Nestled in a village location among the beautiful Essex countryside, Gosfield Hall stands proud overlooking the sparkling Gosfield Lake and nearby Gosfield golf course. Although it is located in the heart of rural Essex, it is only 30 minutes from Stansted Airport and the M11 to London so easily accessible by road, air and rail.
Formerly a royal residence, the Queen Charlotte’s Oak panelled gallery with 120ft long aisle is perfect for wedding ceremonies as is the stunning Grand Salon with its ornately decorated ceiling. The licensed carriageway allows couples to enjoy an outdoor ceremony on sunny days with the striking house as their backdrop.
The Marquis of Buckingham’s former ballroom provides an exquisite setting for the wedding breakfast for up to 116 guests and there are several other grand and elegant reception rooms for your guests to enjoy. As the entire house and grounds are exclusively yours you can also invite up to 250 guests for the evening wedding reception and party.
There are 23 beautiful bedroom suites available to you for your wedding night, providing the perfect end to your perfect day at Gosfield Hall. The breath-taking Rococco (honeymoon) Suite has to be seen to be believed and provides a fabulous setting for those getting-ready photographs, allowing couples to finish their day in pure luxury that they will remember forever. The photograph opportunities truly are endless so creating lasting memories of your special day is easy.
If one night is not enough, The Marquis and Yew Cottage are both available to you and your guests for the perfect night-before dinner, allowing you and 26 of your nearest and dearest to awake revived and refreshed ready for the big day ahead.

- PPhil and Samira14/09/2025Best Wedding Venue EverBest Wedding Venue EverWe got married at Gosfield Hall two weeks ago and it truly was the best day of our lives. From start to finish, the team made everything feel effortless and special. A special thank you goes to Tara, our wedding planner and coordinator. We honestly could not have asked for a better person to trust with our day. Even when things became a bit chaotic (partly due to us being slightly disorganised), she kept everything calm and on track. She thought of details we had overlooked, handled unexpected changes seamlessly, and always did it with a smile. The bride even forgot to include her lactose intolerance on the final order, but Tara and the catering team still ensured she received every lactose-free meal she needed. On the day itself she was an absolute star: professional, warm and reassuring. We felt completely at ease knowing she was there. The wider Gosfield team were also outstanding. Everyone was helpful, friendly and accommodating. Even the DJ had people on the dancefloor all night, which says a lot. We stayed overnight at the Marquis and the food there was excellent, with staff who went above and beyond to look after us. The only small hiccup was that vegan breakfast options were not initially available the next morning, but once we asked the team quickly provided what we needed. That really sums up Gosfield: if something comes up, they will do everything they can to resolve it, and they do so with care. We would also like to mention Hayden, who was always a pleasure to interact with and even helped some of our guests book a taxi to the airport when every company was cancelling on them. And Elisa, who we only dealt with over the phone and by email, but who was wonderful to coordinate with and kept everything running smoothly in the lead-up. The food on the wedding day was absolutely delicious. From generous canapés to the wedding breakfast itself, everything was beautifully cooked and plentiful. Many of our guests commented on how impressed they were. We were so full by dessert that we have already decided we need to return for one of the dinner dates just to enjoy the food again. For anyone considering accommodation, we booked most of the rooms at Gosfield for our guests and breakfast the next morning was excellent. Just note that not every room comes with a shower head. It is flagged in the contract but we did not pick up on it straight away. Still, everyone was comfortable and had a wonderful stay. Overall, Gosfield Hall gave us a truly magical day that exceeded our expectations. Every wedding has small bumps, but what sets this venue apart is how brilliantly the team handles them. Tara in particular made us feel supported, relaxed and genuinely cared for throughout the entire journey. Everything was perfect from our first day visiting to the day of our wedding, the house is absolutely stunning and the staff couldn’t do more for you! We went for the Luxe option and it was the best decision, the decorations included were perfect and we didn’t need any suppliers for this because the house speaks for itself. The food was delicious and we had so many guests saying this too, the drinks also perfect. The DJ kept our evening going, he played requests but also knew how to keep people on the dance floor. We had guests stay over night which all the rooms are perfect and the breakfast the next morning was also delicious! Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We offer exclusive use of the entire house and grounds to all couples so they are free to roam and find photos that suit their style. A favourite of mine is the fabulous Rococco Bridal Suite!

I have genuinely never seen a Honeymoon Suite as large and elegant as the one at Gosfield Hall. YOU MUST SEE IT!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are simply wedding experts and have not lost sight of that. We do not blurr the edges by trying to cater for other events.
