Broxmouth Courtyard

When our daughter decided she wanted a wedding venue that’s not a hotel but has accommodation, and that’s like a barn, but more luxurious, and a venue that doesn’t prescribe which supppliers you use - we can honestly say that Broxmouth Courtyard is the best, after looking at many. Our guests all commented on the high standard of finish in the venue. Everything was spick and span and in perfect working order. Staff had excellent communication with our daughter from booking through to the big day and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble, moving furniture between rooms, adding extra pieces and opening the bar the evening before the wedding so the bridal party could mingle with those guests who were staying on site. All the staff introduced themselves to us and on the day checked in with us regularily to make sure we were happy. The food was amazing, and I loved the way it was served to all guests on a table at the same time - none of the dithering wondering whether to start eating or wait for other guests to be served. Our guests with dietary requirements were very satisfied, even those who needed bespoke food not on the chosen menu. The tables were reset to accommodate guests who had to cancel last minute, so it didn’t look like there were gaps. We made excellent use of the outside space, even in November, with plenty of seating for guests seeking a space away from the band to have conversations, and the fire pits were a big success - we have some lovely relaxed photos from there. The wine that was left over was capped and given to us on Sunday (we didn’t even have to ask) and the wedding cake was wrapped and refrigerated until we were ready to take it away. The decorations we had provided were gathered together so it was easy for us to pack up. As the bride’s parents the experience is very different to attending a wedding as a guest, but I can honestly say I enjoyed the day immensely and was reassured by all the staff to such an extent that I didn’t have a thing to worry about. Special thanks to Rafaella who had to retrieve the necklace I had forgotten at the last minute - she ran over to Oak Cottage to get the necklace and then put it on for me just at the point we were about to walk down the aisle. And special mention to Anne who seemed to always be where and when we needed her, to find missing inhalers, fetch flat shoes or help us up and down stairs. And she took personal responsibility driving the bride and groom to the honeymoon cottage, with their overnight bags which everyone else had forgotten about. That’s the level of personal service you can expect at Broxmouth Courtyard.

We wanted to say thank you so much for all the hard work Raffaela and all the staff at the venue did for our wedding. It was really the most special day and we loved every minute! Nothing was too much trouble and every member off staff was very attentive throughout the whole day to ensure our day went smoothly and exactly as planned! All of our guests were complimenting on how lovely the venue was, how amazing the staff were how great the food was, and they especially loved sitting around the fire pits in the evening outside in the courtyard. We can't believe it's nearly been a month already since our big day but it was so worth it!

We can't begin to explain how perfect Broxmouth was for our wedding. The cottages are amazing and were the perfect place to spend the night before the wedding with our wedding party. When it came to any questions or problems Simone was super helpful and made sure that everything went smoothly on the day itself, even making sure we got the confetti shot of our dreams on a rainy day! We have had so many compliments about the venue, from the food to the staff and we couldn't have asked for anything more - the perfect venue for a perfect day!

We got married in September at Broxmouth Courtyard and we had the most amazing day thanks to the team! They even sorted us out with the most perfect blue sky weather 😍 A special shout out to Drew and Raffaela who were a pleasure to work with during the planning, as well as Sarah, Bev and all the catering/bar team who were just so lovely and so much fun to be around! Raffaela and Drew were so accommodating when we asked for specific things and were just so helpful and friendly in general, making the process so much easier! We chose Broxmouth because of its easy access from Edinburgh but also it’s ability to sleep so many on site and it did not disappoint - all our guests loved it. We had the perfect day and everything was so smoothly organised thanks to all the staff. The lodge by the loch after the wedding was one of our favourite parts - so peaceful and the hot tub was a dream! The food was also amazing, we loved how much choice you get and it was all really high quality. Honestly I could go on! We wish we could do it all again and we hope to come back for our anniversary so we can see everyone again :) Sending lots of love to Raffaela and the team! Xx

Perfect in every single way. We can’t begin to explain how much we love the team working behind Broxmouth, and the venue itself. Everywhere you look has the WOW factor and is done up to an extremely high spec. This place hasn’t skimped on anything, the attention to detail is incredible. Our guests cannot stop talking about the wedding meal and how amazing it was. Especially the duck main course, went down such a hit we literally dream about having it again !!! The accommodation is just insanely beautiful and well equipped. The bedrooms are spotless and super comfortable for the nights sleep we all needed before and after the wedding. The honeymoon lodge and hot tub was just fabulous, we didn’t want to leave. We’ll certainly be booking again for our anniversary. The staff at Broxmouth …wow. Don’t know how to begin to thank them enough for all they do and how they do it. They put absolutely all they have into their jobs, and it shows how much they love it. Special mention for our gorgeous Simone who was our absolute rock through the wedding planning. She kept us on track and was there whenever and whatever we needed. We’d like to hire her for our daily life admin please. Wouldn’t have been the same without Simone, and we are so grateful. Broxmouth were amazing in every single way, there’s nothing they haven’t thought of. Attention to detail is breathtaking. I could go on forever and ever about my love for the venue and the Broxmouth family. 10/10 would recommend to any lucky bride and groom. It was so special to be married here. We got married at Broxmouth on the 5th September 2024, and it couldn’t have been better. The venue was immaculate, the staff were friendly and attentive (huge shoutout to Sue and Bev!), and we got countless comments from guests about how beautiful it was. We looked at nearly two dozen venues within an hour of Edinburgh, stretching from St Andrews down to the borders, and none came close to Broxmouth. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

Thank you so much for helping us create a perfect day. from the facilities to the staff, we couldn't have asked for more! Food was incredible. All of our guests complimenting and raving about it. The cabin on the loch was such a fantastic end to the evening and the perfect start to married life. P.S. You guys at the bar were amazing and loved that you got involved with the fun.

Words cannot describe what this day meant to us. From the very beginning you guys took care of us and guided us every step of the way and we are eternally grateful. From setting up our lovely homes for us and our guests to ensuring we were eating our food when it was served, you guys were all over the place and with the best smiles on your faces. Everything was perfect from start to finish - we loved every second. The staff made what could have been a stressful day seamless and with no worries

We have had the best two days celebrating our wedding here with all our friends and family! The day ran so smoothly from start to finish and that's a credit to your hard work!
