High Barn is a converted 200-year-old traditional stone barn, full of character and charm, not to mention stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding Lake District fells and North Pennines. High Barn is bordered on both its east and west side by flat lawns (perfect for pitching marquees, tipis and yurts), with its own private forest for woodland ceremonies. There are two spacious covered outside areas for bars, lounging and catering, with space for up to 200 guests. We also have a small balcony for your entertainment! High Barn is loved for its perfect unspoilt location, and is a truly private garden of Eden just for you and your guests. With a multitude of options for your ceremony - from legally binding civil and bespoke ceremonies to a religious ceremony at St Cuthbert’s church just a mile away - all your requirements can be met at High Barn. Our venue hire price also includes a 3-night stay at High Barn itself, which has luxury accommodation and hot tub for up to 6 people and is perfect for your bridal preparations, groomsmen get togethers, or even your honeymoon suite.
The lawns of Eden Hall - the estate's main house, situated in an enclosed pink sandstone courtyard - is a totally unique wedding venue, overlooking its own private lake and deer park. The perfect spot for a marquee or tipi for your wedding breakfast, Eden Hall also has various outdoor linked areas for your ceremony including a lakeside arbour, boathouse and deck, and a wedding barn with a capacity of up to 200 as a wet weather option. Surrounded by ancient woodlands, rolling fields, and views to the beautiful 12th century St Cuthbert's Church, you can design every element of your dream wedding against this splendid backdrop. There is also the option of having the entire courtyard accommodation for your wedding guests (sleeping up to 26 in total) with further accommodation available across the whole estate, which can accommodate up to 74 guests in total. Eden Hall offers an incredible range of photo opportunities - whether in its ancient forests, as the sun sets on the lake, or with the backdrop of the main house and its stunning architectural details - making it a fabulous spot to create your special memories.

At High Barn our venue hire ranges from £8500 for our low-season 2-night midweek price (up to 50 guests), to £15650 for a high-season 3-night weekend wedding for 150 guests. All High Barn bookings include accommodation for 6.
At Eden Hall, venue hire ranges from £16,000 low-season 2-night midweek price (up to 50 guests), to £31,650 for a high-season 3-night weekend wedding for 150 guests. All Eden Hall bookings include accommodation for 24.
All venue hire options include marquee and catering tent, flooring, bar, stage, festoons and seating, but do not include catering, however we work with recommended caterers who have worked here many time and know the venue well.
Across Edenhall Estate in total we can provide discounted accommodation for up to 80 people staying overnight as your guests.

- SSophie & Kieran23/07/2025The best dayThe best dayWe had the most amazing time at this venue and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough! From start to finish, the hosts were absolutely perfect for a bride and groom looking for a really relaxed, laid-back feel. They give you so much freedom to make the day your own (within reason, of course!) and are never intrusive or pushy – just calm, friendly and so helpful in the run-up to the big day. Nothing was too much trouble; they were happy to help with anything, from bringing up benches and spare fridges to popping over with a spanner for those random last-minute fixes (we brought a portable bar that needed loosening) It’s very much a ‘do-it-yourself’ style venue, but with such great support behind the scenes that you know they are there to lend a hand if needed. The accommodation is out of this world – we had endless compliments from our guests about how beautiful, clean and thoughtfully done each place was. The attention to detail is incredible. We stayed in the lodge and it was perfect – the sound of the river outside made my (otherwise hectic!) wedding morning feel calm and peaceful. Being able to step outside for a few deep breaths surrounded by those amazing views was priceless. Will definitely be returning for many years to come. It really is a magical place. Everything went so smoothly and the relaxed vibe made everything so much better. Beautiful venue in the middle of fields with cows across the wall! We wanted a quickish ceremony that was still personable, and a giant party afterwards with all our favourite people and that's exactly what we had. We had a fish and chip van for food, it was BYOB (amazing!) where everyone just added to the outside bar and helped themselves, and the grounds are absolutely stunning. We had the most incredible day, so good that even now, 5 years later, it's still brought up amongst family and friends as one of the best they attended. which obviously fills us with so much joy! The team were so helpful leading up to the day, and there was someone around to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything on all 3 days - the night before, the day of and popped in as we were leaving the day after too. 100% would recommend to anyone.What an incredible day! Set in the fields and woodland of a lovely estate. It was perfect for a romantic country get away! The barn itself is brilliant, with all amenities needed, and local recommendations provided by Mark and the Edenhall team. Brilliant for group holidays or families, there was so much wildlife nearby, and the bar area in the garden was perfect to enjoy sitting outside.
