Eden Hall & High Barn, Lake District

Our tipi wedding at High Barn, Edenhall Estate was just perfect in every way. We had the opportunity to plan the day exactly how we wanted, with flexibility to use all of our own suppliers, which made the day truly reflect our own style! The surroundings of Edenhall estate and the 360 panoramic views made it extra special. We also stayed in some of the gorgeously renovated cottages over the duration of the wedding, with family and friends being close to each other and allowing us to have a full long weekend of celebrations. Everything about the venue was perfect and we loved the laid back, boho vibe it offered. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone thinking about a relaxed, fun and informal wedding venue!

What an incredible day! Everything went so smoothly and the relaxed vibe made everything so much better. Beautiful venue in the middle of fields with cows across the wall! We wanted a quickish ceremony that was still personable, and a giant party afterwards with all our favourite people and that's exactly what we had. We had a fish and chip van for food, it was BYOB (amazing!) where everyone just added to the outside bar and helped themselves, and the grounds are absolutely stunning. We had the most incredible day, so good that even now, 5 years later, it's still brought up amongst family and friends as one of the best they attended. which obviously fills us with so much joy! The team were so helpful leading up to the day, and there was someone around to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything on all 3 days - the night before, the day of and popped in as we were leaving the day after too. 100% would recommend to anyone.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our big day. We wanted an outdoor wedding with a great view and this was just the place. Although we were blessed with rain on the actual day, it made the country games more entertaining. From ‘I Do’ to last drinks, we wouldn’t have had it any other way! We couldn’t thank Eden Hall enough for supporting us up until and throughout our big day. It was seriously a day to remember!

Our wedding at Edenhall Estate was nothing short of magical. The breathtaking panoramic views of the Eden Valley and the Lake District provided a stunning backdrop for our special day. The surrounding woodlands and expansive gardens made us feel as though we had our own private slice of paradise. The staff at Edenhall were exceptional, ensuring every detail was meticulously planned and executed. Our guests were captivated by the serene beauty of the estate, and many took advantage of the luxurious on-site accommodations. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding, and we are forever grateful to the Edenhall team for making our dream day a reality.

Great, quirky accommodation in a very quiet rural location. We enjoyed the sweeping views in both directions and the space around the cottage is great.

This a lovely, large but cosy, barn conversion on its own in a pretty field. Set in the fields and woodland of a lovely estate. It was perfect for a romantic country get away! The Edenhall Estate team were super helpful in guiding us and offering some tips.

Absolutely gorgeous property in a stunning location, a lovely secluded area with a huge garden and lovely views. The barn itself is brilliant, with all amenities needed, and local recommendations provided by Mark and the Edenhall team. Brilliant for group holidays or families, there was so much wildlife nearby, and the bar area in the garden was perfect to enjoy sitting outside. I would highly recommend this property and Mark as a host was very prompt at responding to messages.

We had a fantastic stay at High Barn, the photos almost do not do the place justice, even bigger in person and the amount of outside space is fantastic. The location itself on Edenhall Estate is incredible, beautiful surroundings that feel remote yet easily accessible to Penrith, Ullswater and local villages. Overall we’d highly recommend a stay at High Barn as a beautiful retreat in the lakes. We hope to be back!
