A fabulous experience.

What a fabulous experience. We attended for The Barbie Exhibition and it was great. The museum has a great layout and great balance of merchandise shops. Easy to access and they had fun things to do outside for the kids in the sun.

Great museum

If you're a design lover, this museum is a great time. It's smaller than many other London museums, but it holds a lot of rich history on design. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition on Mari Enzo.

Fabulous venue, beautiful building

Fabulous venue, beautiful building, as you'd expect. Free entrance but additional exhibitions are charged for and tickets needed for entry. Nice little cafe and wheelchair friendly to ♿️

Would definitely go again!

The museum is really well maintained and exceptionally clean, there's a great gift shop, a cafe and a place to eat too - Plus the museum is right next to Holland Park, which is an excellent place for a walk. Would definitely go again!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at The Design Museum?

In summer 2023 we hosted a very special wedding celebration for M&M, that perfectly reflected who they were as a couple. A Parisian themed party, complete with Eiffel Tower, a bespoke vegan menu of all their favourites, and (most importantly) a karaoke session for guests to sing their hearts out to ABBA and Taylor Swift (the bride's favourite!)

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Take your time! Gather information from different suppliers and consider all your options and your budget carefully. Your wedding should be a celebration of your love, not something that you stress over.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

At our fave Parisian themed wedding - a bespoke, live size bridge! Guests were given beautiful padlock-shaped cards to write messages to the bride and groom, and tie them on to the railings, in lieu of a guestbook. A beautiful keepsake and so creative.
