Delta Hotels by Marriott Preston

We had our wedding in the Delta hotel by Marriot Preston on 30th December 24. After much debate on venue we decided upon the Marriot in January 24 After considering many different options and prices we felt that the Marriot offered us the best combination and value for money. From day one our wedding coordinator, Megan, was absolutely fantastic and always happy to answer our many questions along the way. Right through to the big day and afterwards she provided faultless service and definitely made the day the as special as it was. We decided to pay the additional cost for the master of ceremonies, Ray, and all I can say is that this is definitely worth every penny! Ray was a great guy, very funny and immensely helpful, keeping us and our guests on track throughout the day with a great touch of humor thrown in. We had the ceremony in the cast iron grill restaurant and the wedding breakfast in the Broughton Suite, it worked perfectly and we were very impressed with how well the restaurant was transformed. The Christmas decorations added a nice extra touch too (these could have been removed if we wanted). We opted for the extra special package and decided to go with the carvery at each table, nominating one carver per table that would don a chefs hat and apron. This went down a storm with our guests and was great fun. We were a little worried that there wouldn’t be enough food as this option didn’t come with a starter or desert but we couldn’t have been more wrong! A massive thank you to the head chef, Paul, who put on the most amazing spread. The quality and presentation was first class and the mountain of beef joints and vegetables resembled a medieval banquet 😂. We added a few personal touches to complement the package offered by the Marriott and Megan went out of her way to ensure these were accommodated. All in all this was a great venue with fantastic staff and at a reasonable price, if you are considering this venture then we can wholeheartedly recommend it based on our experience.

I will admit I was never one for being excited and planning a wedding. However when we went to the delta Marriott hotel we both fell in love with the place. Megan has been nothing short of amazing in making our day become a reality. She was always on hand to answer our queries and we were made to feel so special. Alex, Ben and Ray were superb. We genuinely would not change a thing from our wedding day at Delta by Marriott Preston. The venue, food and staff were amazing. Also, the value for money is unbeatable. Hi Megan, Thanks for your best wishes. Our wedding day was an amazing day. The staff at the Marriott were fabulous and looked after us all so well. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all the guests. Darren from PC Roadshow was fabulous he got everyone up and made our day so special. Thanks for all your support for our wedding. On behalf of Grace, Dan, Steve and myself may we thank you and the Marriott team for a wonderful day on the 8th June 2019 for Grace and Dan’s Wedding. The room looked so beautiful with such careful attention to detail, the food was delicious, the new dance floor was a hit and the DJ had the dance floor full all night! Ray did a fantastic job as Master of Ceremonies and looked after us until late into the evening making sure we all had everything we needed and all day all the staff were unreservedly helpful, friendly and just nice. Steven took time with myself and my brother Nigel to sort out the lighting with us. The room was dimmed when the guests were arriving for the Ceremony and as Grace and Steve walked down the aisle, the lighting got brighter – it was just perfect! Dan was on hand to help out, Raz was always just where you needed him to help out and did a great job working on the room plan and other things too numerous to mention! We did thank most of the staff on the day but I am so sorry, I forgot to ask Ray to thank the Chef’s. The breakfast was absolutely lovely and the buffet was great – the bacon and sausage barms went down really well! We had a wonderful day and weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for the Marriott team and we know Gemma that all your notes and understanding from our previous meetings were instrumental in everything going to plan and so perfectly. We had a fabulous Wedding that and a perfect day that we will all remember forever.

Myself and Paul cannot thank you enough for organising and planning our wedding. From first looking at the venue, we knew it was where we wanted our wedding to be. All Staff involved were truly professional, friendly and well organised. Guests who stayed said how looked after they all felt, especially my mum, rooms were beautiful, and breakfast just right. All our Wedding party said the food and evening buffet was superb. Ray was a gentleman, and the room by Jen was looking amazing. You made our Wedding Day and the journey up to it unforgettable, yourself and all the staff should be proud of yourselves. We will certainly have great memories, Love Christine and Paul.
