our PERFECT dayour PERFECT day
Buckle up cz its a long one BUT hear me out. the word 'PERFECT' is thrown around loosely when it comes to weddings, cz we are ALL biased. But when I say our day was PERFECT.. it literally could not have been any better. All of the staff at Dalston Hall, from start to finish were nothing short of top notch. I forget names of everyone but ive had dealings with most of the Coordinators over the year since we booked our wedding. All extremely helpful, all of them just at the other end of the phone. No question too big, small or silly! Closer to our big day we were given our personal Coordinator, Kelly. I had to put my trust in this woman, who I had met maybe once (due to the distance we live from the venue) to pull off the biggest day of our lives. Let me tell you, I WAS NOT disappointed. She put her focus on us, day and night she was there as the day came closer and all the little questions that kept popping up, she was ready to answer. She sent me photos of things I needed to know, she changed a few things last minute for us, I felt like I was coming across as a real pain but not once did she make me feel like anything was an issue! Our final details meeting, we had no idea what we were doing.. but guess who did?? Kelly 😉 she answered EVERYTHING. Went through all our options, really helped us paint a picture of how our day would go and i felt so at ease. Our big day came around FAST and Kelly was there to welcome us and help us get settled (we booked the night before package) I didn't have a venue dresser and did almost all of the decorating ourselves, but she offered for the team to help us, they steamed some stuff, helped unload the cars and GOT US A DRINK 😍 it was really nice to have that night before to really get settled into the venue and know how everything looked/was going to go, rather than just turning up on the day (would absolutely recommend) Day of the wedding and Kelly is there at the crack of dawn getting us breakfast, making sure we had everything we needed. We spent the morning getting ready in the most relaxed surroundings, nothing was rushed, nothing was too much trouble, we had EVERYTHING! WE DECIDED TO GET MARRIED OUTSIDE!!! something i didnt think was possible in September, but 2 hours before our ceremony, I watched the entire team cart all our chairs and flowers and candles outside and set it up EXACTLY how we wanted it. IT WAS PERFECT! All morning Kelly popped in and out to see how we were doing, double checking details with us. Letting us know the timeline of things and just kept everything organised TO THE LETTER. When people say "soak it in, it flies by" the entire timeline of the day was incredibly well paced, there isnt a moment or detail i don't remember. We knew what was happening and when all day, there was NO uncertainties. After the ceremony we were taken to the games room just to BREATHE and embrace everything together, ALONE with a cocktail of our choice! And we came out when we were ready to mingle. We had a lovely amount of time to greet guests and get all our photos done before the dinner. Which again (you guessed it) PERFECT! Kelly announced us into the room and gave us some guidance on how to address the room and what makes good photos etc. We did our cake cutting at this point, which was accommodated beautifully by kelly and the team. The meal was DIVINE (its a whole pie!) All while, the team are working tirelessly behind the scenes preparing our evening reception! All day long the guys tended to our every request. IT WAS ALL PERFECT. Maybe I am biased. But I do not have a bad word to say about the entire day, the venue or any of the team at Dalston. I can't thank Dalston Hall enough for the most perfect wedding day. The staff were amazing and so attentive throughout the day, special shout out to Maria who helped me avoid a disaster with my dress on the morning. Where do I even begin… ❤️ From the very first moment we stepped into Dalston Hall, we knew it was the place where we wanted to say “I do”. It wasn’t just the stunning beauty of the venue, the incredible grounds, or the history within the walls, it was the feeling we had when we were there. It felt magical, warm and completely us. Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and more. Every little detail was perfect, and Dalston Hall provided the most beautiful backdrop for the memories we will treasure forever. Our guests are still talking about how breathtaking the venue was and how special the whole day felt. A very special thank you has to go to our amazing wedding coordinator, Yasmine. From start to finish, she was incredible. She was our calm in the chaos, always there to answer questions, reassure us, and make sure everything was exactly how we imagined. Her care, kindness and attention to detail made such a huge difference, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to guide us through such an important chapter of our lives. On the morning of our wedding, knowing Yasmine and the team had everything under control allowed us to relax and truly soak up every second of the day and that is something we will always be grateful for. We booked our wedding at Dalston Hall based on information provided during our viewing, but unfortunately our experience quickly became frustrating and stressful. From the outset, we felt pressured into booking after being told that if we did not secure the date that day, the overall cost would increase by £4,000. This created a sense of urgency that left us feeling we had little choice but to proceed immediately. Shortly after booking, we received a contract with the wrong wedding date. While the venue later acknowledged that the error was theirs, the mistake caused considerable stress and we never received corrected documentation. One of the most disappointing issues involved live music. During our initial tour, we specifically asked about noise restrictions and explained that having an acoustic singer and guitarist perform outdoors was important to us. We were reassured this would not be a problem. However, after booking, we received conflicting information regarding noise policies and live performances. Our singer was initially given guidance that allowed her to proceed, only to later be informed that live music was not permitted and that any performance would only be allowed as a “goodwill gesture.” This ultimately led to her cancelling. Since then, updated guidance issued by the venue appears to differ significantly from the information we were given when making our decision to book. These changes fundamentally altered how we had planned and envisioned our wedding day. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent. We received emails that appeared to be intended for other couples, including references to conversations that never took place and commitments that had never been made to us. This left us concerned that our correspondence was being confused with someone else’s. We were also repeatedly chased for a deposit payment before it was due, despite confirming when payment would be made. Even after paying, we received no confirmation and had to contact the venue ourselves to verify receipt. Taken together, these issues seriously undermined our confidence in the venue’s organisation, communication and reliability. We cannot thank everyone at Dalston Hall enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. From the moment we first visited the venue, we knew it was somewhere special, and the entire team exceeded our expectations every step of the way. A special thank you to Georgia, who showed us around the venue and made us fall in love with Dalston Hall from the very beginning. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and knowledge made such a wonderful first impression and helped us feel confident that we had found the perfect place for our wedding. We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to Olivia, our wedding coordinator. Olivia was incredible throughout the planning process and on the day itself. She was always professional, organised, approachable, and reassuring. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to her hard work and attention to detail, the entire day flowed seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. A huge thank you also goes to all the staff at Dalston Hall. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! From the first initial meeting in October 2024, Yasmin was an absolute breath of fresh air. So knowledgable, so enthusiastic but most of all so supportive towards our visions for our special day. When I was told that once booked we would be passed over to the wedding co-ordinaters I was honestly devastated, because we knew we wanted Yas to conduct our day. A few weeks down the line and she announced she was taking on a new position, as a wedding coordinator, and that she would be ours, to say I was over the moon is an absolute understatement! Yasmin helped bring our dream day to life. The countless emails, meetings, and warmth we received every single time was nothing short of special. Dalston Hall as a whole have been amazing, and any queries or question we have had, it has been dealt with so promptly and professionally. As things went quiet through 2025, Yasmin and other team members remained contact and kept us at ease, that’s definitely something I worried about, things being too quiet, but this was not the case! We were kept in mind, and reassured or informed about every little detail. Once 2026 hit, it definitely because more real! And as the start of the year flew in, Yasmin stepped up continuously, how was that even possible I don’t know! Fast forward to our magical day, every single member of the team at Dalston Hall provided such a warm welcome, and it was so lovely to have the excitement around us, it genuinely is a beautiful place, filled with beautiful staff and such warmth and love. Our day couldn’t have been better, Yas was like Wonder Woman! This place, the staff, and our fabulous wedding coordinator Yas will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Nothing was to much from the first viewing to leaving on the Sunday morning, the team are exceptional, Olivia and Carl went above and beyond in many ways. Having booked the venue for 2 days, the food from the evening before to the Sunday morning breakfast was superb, we thought the wedding breakfast meal was even better than our taster meal a couple of months before. Changing thing last minute .com wasn't a issue, Setting out the room on flips was just as we had discussed as we had done our own decorations, Chief sorted out a transportation issue with the cake what a star. My partner Simon and I got married on the 28th March 2026 at Dalston Hall and it was truly magical. Simon and I decided to book the the venue for two days which we had the whole venue to ourselves and guests. The staff were all so friendly, and nothing was too much trouble especially Karl who worked on the bar. I have to say a massive thank you to our wedding coordinator Olivia Kirkpatrick she was brilliant. Olivia was so organised and due to our ceremony layout and getting things changed around ready for the wedding breakfast Olivia was exceptional and very professional which made our wedding day flow so very smooth and just perfect in every way. Nothing was to much trouble and on our wedding day Olivia was there from 8am until 8.30pm at night to ensure everything ran smoothly and anything we needed Olivia was there. Dalston Hall even allowed us to have our 3 cavalier king Charles to be part of our special day which was brilliant.. I can't thank Olivia and all the rest of the staff enough and also Ian the chef that managed to fix a little cake issue we had. From start to finish the communication that we had and received was second to non and Simon and I will treasure for ever. The food was also amazing.I would highly recommend Dalston Hall if you want your truly magical wedding day.. Simon and I decided to book the the venue for two days which we had the whole venue to ourselves and guests. The staff were all so friendly, and nothing was too much trouble especially Karl who worked on the bar. I have to say a massive thank you to our wedding coordinator Olivia Kirkpatrick she was brilliant. My favorite midnight treat is definitely a bacon bap. There's nothing quite like the savory goodness of crispy bacon in a warm, soft bap to satisfy those late-night cravings!
