Our team have a wealth of experience in the wedding industry. Everyone from your wedding co-ordinator, who will assist you in the planning of your special day, to the chef who will create a menu to delight all of your guests, right down to the function manager who is on hand to run your day and make it more perfect then you ever thought possible, the whole team are here to make your day the most memorable of your lives.
Set in five acres of beautiful countryside and with a complete refurbishment throughout the venue, this is a truly special place to host your wedding reception.
We believe every wedding is special and unique and can help design a bespoke day, to make it a truly one off occasion, that yourself and all your guests will remember forever.

- JJo & Simon20/10/2024OutstandingOutstandingAfter looking at several venues, we found many had been very detailed in what we would get, where we would be etc and the rooms were often boxy and boring. Gray Manor on the other hand was quirky, offered exclusive use, and the owners were clear that it was our day and that it should go how we wanted. They were also very reasonably priced. We were not disappointed with our choice! During the planning phase they were very responsive to emails, were happy for us to visit to go over details whenever needed and rummage through their decoration cupboard. In the day they were fantastic. The team do as much set up as you would like and use their experience and initiative. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The day went smoothly, the food was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thankyou to all the staff at Gray Manor! They were experienced in planning/running a wedding whilst still receptive to our ideas, allowing us full flexibility in personalising our day. The venue was clean and fit for purpose, some areas required a small amount of maintenance/DIY but not enough to impact on the day. The food was lovely (we had canapes, a 3 course wedding breakfast, evening food and breakfast the next morning). All our friends and family loved celebrating at Gray Manor and many of them stayed at the hotel for several nights. Searching for the right wedding venue at the right budget to celebrate your happiest day can be a daunting task and we'd never heard or thought of The Gray Manor Hotel until it came recommended to us by some friends who had nothing but praise for it. First impressions. So we called the hotel to make an appointment and were pleased with the friendly telephone manner and very warm welcome received when we visited. We arrived during their refurbishment period at end of season which meant our chosen date in the following spring would be met with a fresh makeover which pleased us even more. We immediately fell in love with the 'shabby chic' decor and furnishings throughout the hotel as well as the endless possibilities for photo shoots and entertainment areas in the extensive gardens which catered for all age groups as weddings should be. What sold it for us was the warm family atmosphere of the whole package which was reflected also by the staff. Everything just fell into place and we felt so confident that our precious day was in the most capable of hands and this was to be proven many times over. We were particularly impressed with the ethics of ensuring nothing was taken for granted, left to chance or a hidden costly surprise. Everything was available to us and nothing was too much trouble. From the onset we were advised of often overlooked details like 'wedding insurance' which turned out to be a valuable reassurance for such a small price especially as a Worldwide pandemic threatened our big day but was covered by our insurance. The Actual Day. As it turned out, our planned wedding date in April was suddenly halted due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown however, the team at Gray Manor Hotel immediately put into place contingency plans to suit our needs beyond the call of duty. Our rescheduled wedding date now in August was also plagued by government restrictions but still ended up being 'The Perfect Day' where we were made to feel like royalty and all the stops were pulled to lavish our now down scaled day into being the best day ever. Being a family run business, the Gray Manor Hotel as a wedding venue prides itself on family values and understanding the needs of families and how important it is that the right memories are made and go the extra mile to seeing this happens. We are to have a full dress re-run of our actual wedding, with all the trimmings and hopefully taking place on our first wedding anniversary with the guests we were prevented from having there on the original day and have no doubt whatsoever that the wonderful team at The Gray Manor Hotel will make it as special and memorable for all the right reasons as was the original wedding day. The venue is fabulous from the decor to the gardens, the staff are amazingly friendly and go out of their way to help. Eli was on hand via email/phone all the way through up to the day and Jason was his charming, happy self making people smile with ease. We couldn’t have asked for any better, it made our day. I've never been to a wedding before where the food, venue and service is all outstanding but this place ticked every box. They have different sections of the hotel to mingle which means you don't feel hemmed in like you can at some venues, the hotel and grounds are huge. There's a bar, dance floor, restaurant and rooms to stay in. There's also lots of parking. We had a beautiful 3 course meal and then in the evening some scrummy bacon and sausage butties. The wedding breakfast all ran really well and the food came out in good time. I can't compliment this hotel enough, I wish it had been there when I got married. This venue is beautiful. We found so many amazing opportunities around the venue to take such memorable photos. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Ive been recommending it to friends and familly in hope to visit there again. Maybe my husband will surprise me with a night away in their bridal suite. Its looks Amazing! I attended a friends wedding here in February with My husband. What a stunning venue it is. We found so many amazing opportunities around the venue to take such memorable photos. It’s decked out really nice with lots of different areas to gather - the dance floor, the bar, the main food seating area. Each part of the hotel offered a unique style and the rooms were really nicely done. Simple, trendy and a lot nicer than your usual large hotels. A lot of thought went into the set up, design and the running of the day, seems so much more personal. The food was really good too!! The staff were more than friendly with any requests given, which makes a big difference, they were very courteous even with the drunken rowdy crowd that we were. Overall a really good venue, with tons of character. The venue hosts, went out of their way to make guests happy, as well as the happy couple of course! We loved everything from the look of the decor, the friendly and helpful staff and the amazing food! Very warm and inviting, friendly helpful staff that work hard to make you feel part of the 'Gray Manor' family. Amazing help yourself breakfast selection, with fruit, yoghurts, juices, cereals and huge cooked selection. Will make this a regular place to stay. Wedding was fantastic all the way through, the attention to detail was exemplary. Stayed the 1 night for a wedding. Very warm and inviting, friendly helpful staff that work hard to make you feel part of the 'Gray Manor' family. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Every wedding is special to us, but probably one of the most unique and memorable has to be a recent Vegas themed wedding of our two very handsome grooms Dan and Liam. The couple had actually got married in a helicopter above the Las Vegas strip in secret, so whilst the guests thought they were attending the ceremony, it was actually a screening of their wedding. They had cinema tickets on entrance and popcorn for guests. It was revealed on a big screen and they had guests up singing the YMCA in the middle of the ceremony! They then went on to have a casino and a surprise flash mob at the wedding! It was definitely a day to remember!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't forget what it's all about! It is so easy to get caught up in the details of the day, but try not to forget why you are getting married in the first place. Committing to the person you love, surrounded by those you love is far more special then any detail you can think of. Remember you can't please everyone, the day is about you and your partner, so focus on that and the love you have for eachother and everything else will naturally fall into place!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We are a lover of the furry friend at Gray Manor, so a couple who had their dogs dressed in a tux and walking down the aisle made us all warm and fuzzy inside!

It has to be our secret garden. A colourful spot full of character, set in our grounds, where we have seen some of the most special and unique photos!

What’s your favourite canapé?
Fillet steak stroganoff is a firm favourite amongst our team.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We can have a day of gourmet food and the best wines.... but when it hits midnight, you cannot beat a good old fashioned bacon bap! With a bit of brown sauce, it always hits the spot especially after a few drinks! The best bit is, you don't even have to stop dancing to eat it!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We always get comments on our secret garden and the secret garden sums up the heart of the business! Unique, different and personal, we embrace each and every wedding idea!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The personality and heart of our business! We are family run and all of our team have become extended family members. Each wedding is genuinely special to us and we are so proud that our entire team will always go above and beyond to make the day as special and as memorable as possible. We love getting to know our couples, what makes them happy, what makes them smile and then doing our best to keep that smile on their face for every second of the day. Because we are family run, we don't have the same rules and rigid structure in place as a lot of venues, so we are able to offer our couples the freedom to have their day exactly as they pictured it. We actively encourage them to become lord and lady for the day and treat Gray Manor as their very own manor house!
