Ashridge Great Barn is set on a working farm in the rolling Devon countryside. Nestled in it’s own valley, the barn is completely Nestled in a picture-perfect valley between green pastures and sustainability managed, wildlife friendly woodland, this is a truly enchanting place to say 'I do'. The airy building, with 500 years of history, is extremely versatile. Whether you're looking to cover it in fairy lights, hang vintage bunting or fill it with floral details, this space can be transformed into your dream wedding venue. Every wedding is bespoke and exclusive and you will be given the barn for three days, meaning you can host a rehearsal dinner, prepare the space and relax after your big day with no rush and no stress. The barn can seat 140 and has a maximum capacity of 200, so grand wedding breakfasts and evening receptions are always an option here. Before or after the ceremony you're also welcome to relax by the fire pit or chill out in the snug area, a great space for guests to catch their breath during the celebrations. The Great Barn has an outdoor ceremony space in the gardens and a catering kitchen, as well as list of wedding suppliers at their fingertips, allowing you to choose a tried and trusted supplier to suit your needs and tastes. Great Barn staff will also be on-hand to help with the planning and preparation and to suggest how you can get the very best out of the magnificent space. • Stunning barn with 500 years of history and a light and airy feel • With either Two day or Three day exclusive use (including 2 or 3 nights accommodation in their onsite cottage) as standard allowing you to host a rehearsal dinner, prepare the space and enjoy a relaxing send off • Catering kitchen and a list of recommended caterers and suppliers available • Beautiful setting within a valley, nestled between green pastures and enchanting woodland • Maximum capacity of 200 for an evening reception • Use of camping/glamping field with option to hire in bell tents

Hire includes 3 day barn rental, 3 nights accommodation on site (max. 9 people), on the day wedding co-ordination service, firepit with log supply and use of decorative prop collection.

- AAlex Miller05/01/2026Most Stunning SettingsMost Stunning SettingsI highly rate Ashridge Barn,it's an absolutely beautiful venue with loads of rustic character and charm,I really enjoyed the wedding I photographed there this Autumn and even though it rained virtually all day,as a venue there was still so much to work with and plenty of areas of shelter that worked so well.Cat and Lynda were also a dream to work with and made things run flawlessly.My couple had the best day and have got a gallery packed full of beautiful photos in the most stunning of settings!I highly rate Ashridge Barn,it's an absolutely beautiful venue with loads of rustic character and charm,I really enjoyed the wedding I photographed there this Autumn and even though it rained virtually all day,as a venue there was still so much to work with and plenty of areas of shelter that worked so well.Cat and Lynda were also a dream to work with and made things run flawlessly.My couple had the best day and have got a gallery packed full of beautiful photos in the most stunning of settings!

It was everything we had dreamed of and made our vision of a fun, weekend-long wedding with our loved ones a reality.The secret gardens, rustic barn, woodland and beautiful open spaces flow seamlessly together. The whole team were incredible. From our first meeting through to the wedding weekend, they were supportive, organised and made everything feel calm and effortless. Nothing was ever too much trouble.From the moment we viewed Ashridge Great Barn, we fell completely in love. Perfect for an afternoon tea or graze table. They also have a space to fit in my gas oven so you can have a roast dinner as well. The whole team at Ashridge are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much hassle. I love working alongside them and can't wait to be back soon. The barn is beautiful - we had planned for an outdoor ceremony but the weather had other ideas, and it ended up being inside. But I wouldn't change it now - it was a lovely, intimate and rustic space to have the ceremony, and the team did such a great job of transforming it into the wedding dinner /party area for later. That said, the outside areas are equally stunning - we managed to go outside for our wedding drinks, and making use of both spaces made the day really special. There are 2 lovely accommodations on site where we got ready, there is ample space for camping and they've recently refurbed the shower/toilet facilities which are great - our guests were very grateful for them. The support from the Ashridge Barn team is amazing - Cat's the most helpful person on the planet when it comes to organising a wedding and made our prep so much easier. No ask was too much for her and the team (Lynda, Rachel), and they went out of their way to make it the most special day for us. She allowed us to keep the music going until 1am (which was much longer than any other venue we looked at), and we used the site both on Friday night for a pre-wedding buffet and Sunday morning for breakfast - so you can really enjoy the venue for a whole weekend event. It was fantastic, easily the best weekend of our life, and a major part of that is down to Ashridge Great Barn and the wonderful team. From the very start, they were wedding magicians, everything happened with ease, and they made us feel so calm and comfortable throughout. Cat is the most helpful person on the planet when it comes to organising a wedding, and she made our prep so much easier. She even allowed us to keep the music going until 1am (which was much later than any other venue we looked at), and we were able to use the site on Friday night for a pre-wedding buffet and Sunday morning for breakfast. Everyone we’ve spoken to since the weekend has been singing the venue’s praises, and a photographer, who has shot nearly 200 weddings, said it’s one of her favourites ever. The team aren’t just brilliant organisers, they’re also genuinely lovely people, the exact type of characters you want around you on your wedding day. They made us chuckle, calmed us down, and added so much joy to the whole weekend. It felt like working with a team of friends rather than a typical client–supplier relationship, and for that we’re incredibly grateful. It was, without doubt, the best weekend of our lives, and a huge part of that is thanks to Ashridge Great Barn and the amazing team behind it. Couldn't have asked for a better team or a better venue. We had our ceremony in the Magic Circle and the reception/meal were held in the barn and moving everyone from one part to the other was so seemless. I have had so many feedback from guests saying the venue was perfect.
