Describe the best wedding that happened at Rockbeare Manor?
It really is almost impossible to answer - every wedding is wonderful! The bond we form with the Brides and Grooms is really unique which makes it all the more special on the day. The very first wedding we ever did, in August 2016 was amazing though. It went so smoothly, without a hitch and it was a very memorable moment.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure that your photographer comes recommended (your venue will always be able to help with this), and if budget allows, hire a videographer too. These will be the two things that will mean that you will be able to look back and relive your wedding day over and over.
And, trust your suppliers. They are the experts and will be the ones that will make your wedding run like a dream.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
It's the personal details that make each and every wedding so memorable. One of my favourites was when the Bride and Groom (who had got engaged on a llama treck and generally loved the gentle animals) invited two llamas along for the group photos during the drinks reception. They had pretty floral hoops around their necks and it was certainly a talking point that day!
Describe Rockbeare Manor in 5 adjectives
Immaculate, Welcoming, Luxurious, Historic, Uncluttered
Where’s the best photo spot at Rockbeare Manor?
You can't beat a photo at the front of Rockbeare Manor. Our Grade I listed house is so pretty - and it looks almost like something out of a Jane Austin period drama - it really is the perfect photo backdrop. But, I also love a photo of the newlyweds along our driveway, especially in Autumn - the colours are amazing!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Rockbeare Manor?
Guests have included Olympians Tom Daley and Tonia Couch as well as singer Joss Stone.
What’s your favourite canapé?
It's hard to choose but my favourite two would be the 'fillet of beef pan-fried in Dijon cream, on crostini' and also 'sesame halloumi with chilli jam' which is a really great vegetarian option.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Chocolate! Always.
Our chefs make the most wonderful chocolate brownie which is very hard to resist.
What is Rockbeare Manor most unique feature?
Rockbeare Manor is special in many ways - but the Manor House itself is so striking and instantly recognisable. It looks like something out of a period drama - picture perfect and the most stunning of backdrops for a wedding.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The team! They are amazing, and will go above and beyond for our Brides and Grooms. The level of service they provide is second to none.
