As an Essex Premier Wedding Venue, we have a responsibility to strive for improved standards. As a family owned business, we are constantly looking for ways to enhance the total experience of visiting here, and ways to make your visit a most memorable one. The Baronial Hall, built circa 1600 out of light Oak, is considered to be one of the finest examples of a Tudor/Jacobean Barn, with high vaulted ceilings and dressed with wrought iron chandeliers. It has a unique charm, a very special atmosphere and that wow factor when you first see it and because of this has become one of the most popular wedding venues in Essex. The solid Rosewood Floor was acquired from County Hall London twenty years ago, and a hundred years after it was laid there. The Ryder Room, is licensed to perform Civil Ceremonies, in addition we have our outside ceremony options with a theatre style set up underneath a floral canopy or the newly licensed space in front of the fountain in our secluded garden. The gardens are totally enclosed and have a very private feel and cannot be overlooked by anyone. We are able to offer the night before accommodation, located separately from the Baronial Hall. It can sleep up to 8 people, has 2 dressing tables and private patio, allowing the bridal party to prepare themselves prior to the ceremony. For accommodation on the night of the wedding, we have a Bridal Suite with private courtyard and parking, as well as 5 guest rooms within the main building.
Review from a Crondon Couple:
We picked Crondon Park as our wedding venue back in 2019. We came to an open day and instantly fell in love with the venue and we were due to marry in 2020. Sadly due to the covid pandemic we had to postpone our wedding. The staff were fantastic. The team would check in to make sure we were okay, provided all information we needed and was there to answer all questions even at the midst of a very difficult time.
We decided to postpone to Friday August 5th 2022. Everything ticked along perfectly all plans remained in place and a few months before our wedding day we were passed over to our front of house manager. We met with them to finalise all plans a few weeks before our day and she put our minds completely at ease. She was so easy to talk to and explained everything we needed to know. From that moment, to the day itself the team would respond to all emails we sent the very same day answering any last questions we had. Fast forward to our wedding day and all we can say is wow! Never have we met such an incredibly professional, helpful and cheerful group of staff. Every single person who was part of our day commented on how wonderful the staff on the day were. Our Front of House Manager made sure the day was the vision that we had and ensured everything ran smoothly and perfectly and for that we are incredibly grateful. The bar staff were just so lovely. They had our guests smiling and laughing and we’re just so cheerful. Not a person working that day made anything seem too much. They were all wonderful. We’d also like to thank all those staff behind the scenes for their hard work. The wedding food was the best wedding food we have ever had and the butternut squash soup got amazing reviews!! The evening barbecue was amazing too and our celiac guests were particularly amazed that they could eat everything. The chef running the barbecue at the time went out of his way to even offer to source gluten free rolls for one guest. It’s the little touches like those mentioned that make guests, comfortable, appreciative and touched. Not only did the staff on the day extend their hospitality to us but they did to our guests too. It’s clear to see why the venue wins so many awards as it is just simply stunning. It’s not always mentioned however, how fantastic the staff who work there are. We would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of staff we have dealt with and in particular those who worked on our wedding day. No matter how small your role was, you all contributed to make sure our day was the absolute best it could be and really are a credit to the venue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Set yourselves a realistic budget based on your guest numbers. If your budget is tight, invite the additional guests to celebrate with you in the evening as a cheaper alternative.
A Bride recently provided a personal message laid at each guests place setting with a memory about their friendship.

We ensure couples are contacted with 24 hours of their initial enquiry, along with booked couples receiving communication within 24 hours to answer any questions, keeping their wedding plans on track with no delays. All of our couples meet with the Front of House Manager 3 months before the wedding to finalise plans to ensure the smooth running on the day. All of our team, Chefs, Front of House, Waiting and Office staff receive amazing daily reviews which we are incredibly proud of, holding the highest record for reviews on Bridal Directory websites.
Our exceptional catering. We are one of very few venues that are able to claim we do not bring in any external catering, everything is made onsite, including the bread. Every one of our reviews makes reference to the outstanding food provided for their special day and how many of the guests compliment it.
