Chycara has two licensed civil ceremony locations within the grounds: The Island - a modern wooden gazebo set in the middle of a beautifully crafted wildlife pond where you can tie the knot surrounded by nature, friends and family, if the weather is not looking stable we do offer an add on of a covering for the guest seating area. The Barnquee - a high vaulted ceiling barn with floor to ceiling windows with views over the gardens, this indoor setting is perfect for ceremonies during the colder months or forecast bad weather. The Barnquee is also the setting for the seated dining, bar and evening entertainment. With a capacity of up to 140 guests it is a natural and neutral blank canvas for you to dress as you wish.
Our Barnquee can comfortably seat 75 guests however you are welcome to squeeze more in if you need. This space boasts an abundance of natural light, with floor to ceiling windows, pre-decorated with warm white fairylights over the wooden clad pitched ceiling giving a romantic glow. Our licenced bar is open until 11pm on the Saturday and has a selection of draft beers, cider, and lager along with a variety of bottled refreshments, fine wines and spirits to cater for everyone. If you have any specific requests please chat to us when making your booking. The gardens at Chycara transform through the year from moody soft whites and greys of Winter to the vibrant colour pops of Summer and the warm embers of Autumn. With nature as your back drop there is never a bad time of year to book your wedding. Guests have access to a number of lawns and many beautiful spots throughout the grounds for the perfect photo opportunity or a moment of peace and calm.
Chycara can sleep up to 31 people on site between our 9 self catering lodges. Each lodge is individually styled and can sleep from 2- 6 people. Each lodge is nestled into its own little pocket of the 16 acres of natural habitat with outdoor seating areas to enjoy the views and parking for multiple cars. With 12 months prior booking we can offer availability across all our accommodation enabling you to check in on the Friday and check out on the Sunday giving you a more relaxing experience or time to spend with visiting friends & family however there is no requirement to book any accommodation or you are welcome to stay a few extra days!

The staff were so accommodating right from the initial visit though to the final clear up. We stayed in the lodges for the whole weekend. Again perfect. We also used the pool which only added to our overall experience. Our caterers had all they needed to prepare a fantastic meal for 100+ guests. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit on the bank for the ceremony. Stunning venue very highly recommended. My son was married at Chycara in August 23. It is the most magical venue and the grounds are idilic. The staff were so accommodating right from the initial visit though to the final clear up. We stayed in the lodges for the whole weekend. Chycara is idyllic. Set in beautiful grounds, with huge trees, sunny lawns and flowers. It truly is beautiful in all seasons. We opted for an early autumn wedding, and after our initial visit, we went back a year later to see the grounds close to our wedding date, and it didn't disappoint. The grounds were still absolutely stunning and the perfect backdrop for our day. The staff there were so kind. Special shout out to Rob who answered all my questions. We loved that we could make the venue our own. We brought pieces of us into every aspect of our wedding, and Chycara provided the blank canvas to work on. We brought bunting, wonderful florals, garden games and even Lego, all in our colour theme. Being able to use caterers we knew and trusted made a huge difference. The set up process was so easy. All the tables and chairs were laid out ready, we just needed to dress them, making the day before a breeze. We utilised all the lodges and everyone had a wonderful time. Everywhere was clean and tidy. There was even groundskeeper blowing away stray leaves from pathways ready for the big day. The day itself was wonderful. We had our wedding outside, surrounded by our family and friends and nature. The evening party was great, nothing was too much trouble. Bar was well stocked and staff were lovely.
