We offer an end-to-end experience, providing you with a dedicated event manager who will be with you from your first site visit, guide you through all the choices that you need to make and will also coordinate on the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly for you and your guests.
Our in-house catering team can accommodate any culinary requirements to ensure you and your guests have a spectacular experience, comfortably able to provide a served dinner for up to 1,000 guests in a single space.
Chelmsford City Racecourse is ideal for those looking for an event just outside London, providing excellent transport links via the A131, A120 and M11 and free onsite parking for up to 800 vehicles. We are a fully accessible venue with ample facilities and a buggy service to assist with transit.
QUEEN CHARLOTTE MARQUEE
With remarkable views, The Queen Charlotte is a fully equipped, draped, private marquee wonderful for up to 250 guests seated with a dancefloor. Featuring a brand-new beautiful emerald green art-deco bar and a private wraparound terrace that includes comfortable contemporary seating. The marquee is ideal for racing enthusiasts who may wish to host their wedding on a raceday and also works perfectly for seated dinners, speeches and evening dancing all in one space.
SUMMER MARQUEE
The Summer Marquee boasts a generous seated dining capacity of 1,100. Carpeted and fully draped, creating an elegant and comfortable entertaining area while featuring 2 dedicated bars, cloakroom and a spacious private terrace with outside seating.
THE CLUB RESTURANT & LOUNGE
This intimately designed space provides a sophisticated culinary experience with a special ambience for your day. The octagonal level provides panoramic views over the entire racecourse ensuring that you do not miss a moment of the action as you indulge yourself with our modern British cuisine.
OUTDOOR
150+ acres of grounds allow for an abundance greenery and space for summer drinks receptions to garden games.

This is in relation to venue hire only weddings, where cultural catering is required that we cannot provide. We will provide you with exclusive use of your chosen venue for 12 hours of hire. A luxury dressing area is available for the family and capacity for 1,000 guests with ample of car parking space.
We can provide you with all the furniture needed including tables, chairs, high chairs, a stage and cake table as well as some useful items like an easel for your table plan and a cake knife.
Staffing is also including and will consist of stewards, security and an event manager. Your caterers will just need to provide their own waiting and bar staff.
Our bar is available for you to use however your own stock and staff must be provided.
You or your caterers will need to provide; table linen, cutlery, crockery, glassware and waiting staff.
