Camel Studio overlooks the rolling hills of the Camel Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty in North Cornwall.
A drive down country lanes from the nearby town of Wadebridge will take you to their beautiful light-filled barn, boutique farmhouse and bridal cabin, all set within acres of lawns and garden. It’s the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony and celebration for up to 50 guests.
This stylish venue offers the choice of an indoor or outdoor licensed ceremony. Their barn is a romantic space with huge doors opening onto a view of fields and wooded hills. Or take your vows under the Cornish sun among their gardens that roll down to the valley beyond.
Camel Studio is not a typical rustic barn with its white walls, muslin drapes and festoon lights. Trestle tables, pretty cross-back chairs, a grand piano, olive trees and large ferns complement this beautiful canvas for you to style as you choose. The outside courtyard has a Mediterranean feel with olive trees, flower-filled pots, comfortable seating and pretty blue and green parasols.
On-site, their stylish boutique property sleeps eight, while the bridal suite, a cosy log cabin, is nestled within a secluded spot in the garden.
With their dedicated wedding team led by owners Helen and David and coordinator Jess, you can be sure that your wedding will be everything you imagined and more.

I think what sets this venue apart from other wedding venues is how personal Helen and David made the experience. They are the most kind and welcoming people. Helen was very helpful, understanding and attentive when it came to the planning and organisation. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely unique touches also made it very special, including the welcome dinner before the wedding, David's band playing on the day, homemade pizza in the evening and our stay in the bridal cabin. It was such a memorable experience for us and our guests. Helen and David were so accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process, making us feel super relaxed and at ease. Helen kindly toured us through the venue by video, as weren’t able to get down there before the big day, but it’s so different seeing it in person. The views were amazing, the venue gorgeous, and while decorating Helen and David were keen to help in anyway they could. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to say I do. From the dinner the night before (David you have to send us your recipe for Vegan Keftedes they were incredible!), to the on the day smooth running, we didn’t only have an amazing venue but a fab team to boot. Thank you so much for all you did for us to make our day so special. We couldn’t recommend Camel Studio enough. The best day of our lives!From the moment we stepped out of the car at Camel Studio we knew it was the one - a breathtakingly beautiful venue even on a grey and drizzly day in January and greeted by Helen’s warm and friendly smile! After spending an hour or so with Helen, showing us round the venue and instantly making our lives easier - explaining how she’d help book the taxis for all the wedding guests - we couldn’t wait to book! So much so the minute we drove away (on route to see a couple more venues) we were on the phone to book the Registrar and secure the date for our wedding at Camel Studio. Helen’s communication throughout the 14 months in the lead up to our big day was exceptional, recommending suppliers, helping clarify any questions we had and supporting us in making our dream day become a reality. The night before the wedding, the bridal party stayed at Camel Studio and were served a delicious meal cooked by Dave (a truly incredible chef!) and settled in for an early night ahead of the big day! Waking up on the morning of the wedding to the rolling Cornish hills baked in sunshine we knew we’d lucked out with the weather and we were able to get married outside! We enjoyed champagne and canapés in the garden and a wedding breakfast in the barn, followed by table tennis, marshmallows over the fire pit, drinks, dancing and of course Dave’s delicious pizzas (which all our guests commented on). Dave and Helen are the perfect hosts and it is evident that the care, attention and hard work that they’ve put in to Camel Studio is what makes it so special. We found Camel Studio online after much searching. A traditional wedding in a church or a barn, didn't interest us. We knew we wanted an outdoors wedding, with a relaxed, garden, boho-vibe but with a beautiful inside option too, (should we be faced with classic UK weather). We initially viewed the venue via Facetime, as we live in Essex and obviously Camel Studio being in Cornwall. Even over Facetime, it immediately it ticked ALL our boxes. We also knew from the moment we began speaking to Helen that this was the lady who we wanted to help us with our day. You know when you get a feeling. I had that feeling with Helen. She made us feel at complete ease. Then we went to do a physical visit, 12 months before our wedding. We went down to Cornwall to meet Helen and her Husband, Dave, properly and see the venue for ourselves, and WOW. I wasn't expecting it, but I had a few tears roll down my cheeks! It was overwhelming. More beautiful than I could've ever imagined. Those views over the Camel Valley, out of those big studio barn doors, was breath-taking. Right from when planning began, Helen and Dave were SUPER accommodating. They only host a handful of weddings each year but honestly, they made us feel like it was only our wedding that was happening. The attention to detail, the support, the love & care that went into every part of the process was second-to-none. Even the conversations and catch ups with Helen felt natural, like she was a friend. Nothing we suggested was too much bother and, in some cases, Helen even gave us ideas or suggested suppliers we didn’t even know about. For example, we thought we wanted a candy floss stand for the kid’s dessert, someone serving up fresh floss, something a bit fun. Then Helen suggested a vintage ice cream tricycle, where you hand-pick personalised flavours. This way everyone, including the adults, could benefit from a dessert with a twist. We went with the tricycle and it seriously went down a treat! Everyone was out the sun, on the terrace, enjoying their chosen ice creams and all the toppings. Our friends & family still talk about it now. Its reasons such as this, why we enjoyed working with Helen and Dave so much. They really listen to your requirements, and understand what you’re trying to achieve, and give you more options. The house onsite the night before was such a lovely touch. We were greeted with a beautiful hamper full of goodies. Staying on site, meant that we didn’t have to arrange transport from the house to the venue, which gave us both more time to relax, get ready, and soak it all up. The bridal cabin was also a lovely touch, the night of the wedding, my Husband and I could leave the Nan’s with the kids in the main house, and we had some time, just the two of us, to reflect on our magical day. Our wedding coordinator, Phoebe, was also a huge part of our day. She had a warm friendly way about her and so calm. Just what you need on the day of your wedding. She made me feel so relaxed, even when I was about to walk down the aisle, as I was walking alone, she gave me a little smile and wink to stay “you got this girl”. All I would say is, if you’re debating whether to get married at Camel Studio, don’t think about it any more. BOOK IT. You will not regret it. Helen was fantastic at going through what we needed to know and keeping in touch. We just don't think the website does the venue justice as we were stunned when we saw this in person- amazing views! The venue is beautiful and can be transformed to however you wish. The venue has separate areas but it all flows really beautifully. This had everything we could have asked for and we couldn't have wished for a better day with our family and friends.Firstly a big thank you to Helen and Dave! The second we arrived on Friday it almost felt like coming home for the weekend, it was so welcoming. The whole day ran so smoothly thanks to Helen, Jess and every one of the Camel Studio team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. A truly wonderful day to remember.
