Originally built between 1779 and 1789 by the Fifth Duke of Devonshire, the Crescent is one of the most architecturally significant buildings in the country, offering a unique and exclusive backdrop for your wedding. Inside its stunningly curved honey-stone façade, a hidden world of exquisite luxury and rich, authentic interiors awaits. The venue boasts a number of beautifully restored function rooms, including the magnificent 18th-century Ballroom, known as The Assembly Rooms. These have been fully refurbished to restore their former beauty, featuring breathtaking original details such as the intricate painted ceiling and two of the most historically significant chandeliers hanging from above. The Assembly Rooms provide the perfect setting for your special day, accommodating up to 120 day guests and 180 evening guests. We are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships in the magnificent Drawing Room, Blue Room, and Library. Alternatively, there are several enchanting local churches within the Spa Town for your ceremony. Exclusive to one wedding per day and home to 81 luxurious bedrooms, Buxton Crescent offers ample space for your friends and family to celebrate in style. The newly renovated Spa combines the very best of traditional and modern treatments. At its heart lies the original thermal pool, fed by mineral-rich waters from the nearby ancient spring, St Ann’s Well. You can depend on our experienced Wedding Coordinator to help create fabulous memories for you, ensuring the perfect setting at Buxton Crescent for your wedding day.

We had the most wonderful amazing wedding and the Crescent was a fantastic venue, all of our guests were wowed by its impressiveness. The food was well presented and as expected of a fine dining quality which was commented on by lots of our guests who left feeling like they’d had been served the best meal they had experienced at a wedding. The team looking after us were fantastic on the day. Her laid back approach takes away any stress and she was so thorough with everything making sure she fully understood our vision for the day. Chloe ran our day and was equally as professional, nothing was too much trouble and the day ran seamlessly. Nicole we cannot thank you enough for our wedding. It could not have gone smoother, the whole team were incredible on the day. I think even Chloe would say we were completely laid back. Thank you so, so much!! Everyone has completed about the food and how beautiful the venue was, it’s nice to be able to say ‘I did tell you’ to those that moaned we were getting married out of area. All the staff, pre wedding and during were very personable. James in particular did a fantastic job on the day of keeping everything in order and getting the guests fired up as we entered the room for the wedding breakfast. We are back from honeymoon and just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for our wedding day. It was literally a dream come true- we cannot thank you enough.
