Brocket Hall Estate Full Description
There are three venues on the Brocket Hall Estate, catering for all size wedding receptions and civil ceremonies. Brocket Hall - One of England’s finest stately homes, set in 543 acres of beautiful countryside and with a full and varied history. Built in 1760, the hall has been home to two prime ministers, played host to George IV, Queen Victoria and Lady Caroline Lamb, who introduced the Waltz to England in the Ballroom. This is the room for your Wedding Breakfast; which can seat from 50 - 150 guests and is sumptuously decorated with a stunning ceiling painted by Sir Francis Wheatley. We can welcome up to 200 guests for the evening and your special day will include the unique service of our butlers. There are 30 luxurious double bedrooms within Brocket Hall and a further possible 16 bedrooms in the Melbourne Lodge, sleeping a maximum of 88 guests. Please note, that Melbourne Lodge bedrooms are not exclusively available for your guests and are allocated on a first come first serve basis. The Oak Room @ The Melbourne Club, with picturesque views over the Broadwater can accommodate up to 120 guests comfortably for a Wedding Breakfast, and hold 150 people for evening dancing. This room has oak beams with a vaulted ceiling, and original barn features. Guests have direct access onto a garden terrace for their drinks reception. The Piano Lounge can accommodate 12-24 people for an intimate Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast. Melbourne Lodge bedrooms are available to guests. Auberge du Lac Restaurant – Formerly, the 17th Century hunting lodge for the Estate is now a unique, tranquil waterside restaurant. The award-winning Auberge du Lac is offered on an exclusive use basis, ensuring there will be no other dining taking place on your chosen day. A more intimate number of 40 - 50 guests can be accommodated, with an additional 40 guests for your evening reception. Smaller private dining rooms, perfect for numbers of 4 - 30 people are also available.

Happy couple married in August

Wedding marred by tragic staff incident

I had my wedding here and it was marred by a tragic incident involving a Brocket Hall staff member. To date, Brocket Hall has admitted no fault, and at no point apologised for events that unfolded that day. How they have handled the matter since then has only reaffirmed their lack of customer care, and compassion that one would reasonably expect of a prestigious wedding venue. If anyone is considering holding their wedding here and would like to hear more about our experience, then I'd be more than happy for you to reach out. Looking at the attached picture, I am reminded of Brocket Hall's Managing Director, Michael Longshaw, who sent us a letter stating that "I do not believe that your celebration was materially affected by the tragic conduct of an individual." The said "individual" was a member of Brocket Hall staff, who Michael attempts to distance himself from. Ultimately, he was their responsibility as an employer.

What a beautiful place

What a beautiful place. The family had a wedding here. Even though it was a bit out of the way, they wanted the venue here for approximately 100 guests. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The food was good. Also a place for the kids to just “chill” away from the bigger group.

Amazing venue!

Our band, The Shuffles Band from Bristol, were lucky enough to play at the stunning Brocket Hall for a wedding. Amazing venue, friendly staff, no noise restrictions in the house or garden. We thoroughly recommend! x
