The George offers a delightful setting for wedding receptions, civil ceremonies and partnerships in the heart of the cathedral city of Lichfield. There are some lovely photo opportunities both inside and out at our charming 18th century coaching inn, plus some stunning picturesque backdrops at the nearby Minster Pool and Beacon Park which set the perfect scene.
We offer a variety of rooms for your wedding, to suit small intimate parties or larger celebrations of up to 110 people, but whatever the size of your party or budget you will receive the same friendly and professional advice. As a family owned hotel we pride ourselves on our flexible approach: your day will be individually tailored to your needs and our wedding coordinator will be happy to advise you on every detail of the arrangements to ensure that your wedding day will be happy and carefree. You can relax and enjoy the company of your guests while we take care of the rest.

Sunday 21st January 2024, 10am - 12pm. The Garrick Suite will be fully dressed for a wedding reception and you can to our experienced wedding co-ordinator who can check availability and advise on every aspect of your special day.

The behind the scenes organisation was seamless nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and all the guests were waited on efficiently and with great service. The room, the food, the service were all superb. Special thanks to a young lady called Lauren, who looked after us all day and to our young barman and to the chef and kitchen staff who provided the fabulous meal, which rendered us all incapable of movement by the end of the day :-). A wonderful time was had by all, thank you! I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at the hotel, for helping to make my daughter's wedding day so special on the 4th August. The room, the food, the service were all superb. From the day one when we booked our wedding package it was pleasure to work with Abbie. She was helpful, understanding and nothing was the issue. Our wedding day was just perfect. Guests loved food and the atmosphere of place. Lovely place and definitely one of those where you want to be coming back.We decided to get married in George Hotel and have our parents to stay over with is night before the big day.
