Nestled on the England–Wales border near the village of Llansilin, Powys, Barnutopia is a countryside wedding venue where rustic charm meets modern convenience. Surrounded by the Shropshire and Powys hills, our restored barns and luxury glamping yurts and cabins create a storybook setting for unforgettable celebrations.
Our wedding barn is licensed for ceremonies and seats up to 120 guests, while the adjacent Dutch barn offers a sheltered space for drink receptions, complete with fire pits, garden seating, and a dry bar. From exchanging vows with rolling hills as your backdrop to gathering around a campfire under the stars, every moment is designed to capture the beauty of the countryside.
Mini cows, donkeys, pigs, sheep, and cats add to the experience, blending nature with comfort in a venue like no other. Couples who prefer a church ceremony can marry at nearby St. Silin’s, just a leafy walk away.
Since opening as a glamping site in 2015 and gaining our wedding ceremony licence in 2017, Barnutopia has grown into a unique event space with a passion for creating cherished memories. It is a truly special place to begin your journey together.

We can't recommend this venue enough for any couples looking to plan a relaxed and truly personal wedding. From the minute we met with Katrina and saw the farm we knew it was the right place for us and our confidence wasn't misplaced. Katrina, Rachel and the team were so very accommodating, warm and friendly from the get go and went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. We looked for a venue pre COVID for many months and couldn't find something we wanted, funnily enough had this place saved to view in April 2020 and sadly the world had other ideas. Fast forward to Sept 2023 I was on my maternity leave and decided to go along to view in the hope that it may be for us. Barnutopia ticked every box for us and some surprise ones too! [And lots more on Google] I have said this many times and I will continue to say this, this venue is something special... The weekend was PERFECT and the team were incredible from start to finish. We booked to see the site and had a tour from both Donna and Katrina. We had the catering through Barnutopia and it was delicious and served with professionalism. The rooms were clean and warm, each person was made to feel and part of the family for the whole weekend. Perfect for a rustic wedding, with an intimate feel and ahighly personal touch.We recently had our wedding at Barnutopia and can not recommend it enough! Our wedding day was the best fun.
