Barley Wood

I've created and installed many floral arrangements for my wedding couples at Barley Wood House, and each time is always such an enjoyable experience. Not only is the house beautifully grand, the views amazing and the staff super friendly and helpful, but there is also a special intimacy, and relaxed feel for each occasion. There are so many creative options available in the house and grounds, enabling you and your loved ones to enjoy your wedding day in a way that truly reflects your style and personality as a couple. The perfect venue for you to create special memories, and for this wedding florist to bring to life your floral dreams!!

We booked Barley Wood (the only venue we ever viewed in person) for the whole weekend so we stayed with close friends the night before and the night of the wedding! This made the build up super special and allowed us to all mingle before the big day. The bedrooms are delightful and the beds are huge! Getting ready in the grand rooms the next morning was also special, hearing the buzz of people setting up downstairs, the large windows giving gorgeous natural light. We had our ceremony outside at the summer house, the views were insane!! The highlight really. Zach and Connor worked tirelessly behind the scenes to set up the chairs and ensure the ceremony ran smoothly. You can put your trust in the barley wood team to go above and beyond for you without any fuss! The highlight for us was having the dining hall seperate to the dance hall. Allowing an elegant seating plan with decorations to be enjoyed through the meal. And then a DJ and dance floor to be the main event of the evening! There is loads of space and every where you look theres gorgeous vintage furniture, a giant fire place, or an amazing view. We really can’t fault Barley Wood for a DIY wedding, elegant yet homely, would recommend!!

We have catered at Barley Wood many times and we LOVE it there. Gorgeous venue, views and staff - Zach and Connor are outstanding and nothing is too much for them to ensure each couple has the perfect day - match that with us as caterers and its a truly winning combination!!

We had an amazing wedding at Barley wood in August. We had our drinks reception in the Italian Garden to make the most of the amazing views. It really felt like we were abroad in the sun. As it was a large wedding we opted to have a marquee on the lawn for our wedding breakfast, before moving into the main house for the evening. The main hall worked perfectly for the evening with space for the band and a large dance floor. Barley wood was the perfect venue for us. They were so accommodating and supportive in helping us create the day that we wanted. Big shout out to Zach at Barley Wood for helping us organise in the build up - he was absolutely brilliant throughout. We couldn’t recommend this venue more.

We loved the look of Barely Wood when we first came to have a look at it, as it’s a house that has some character to it and Amy and I loved that about it. Everyone really enjoyed the venue, from the spacious rooms to the vast open space of the gardens that have all been well kept. I believe everyone made themselves at home and felt comfortable at the house. The guest all were all saying the same in that it’s such an amazing venue with beautiful views and lovely garden space, all were very complementary about the venue, and the kids all loved the vast open space so that they could run around freely haha.

This was the most amazing find for our daughter and son-in-laws wedding! So very very picturesque the views are stunning, gorgeous walks, woods and gardens. The house has been restored beautifully, the bedroom so tasteful and comfortable. It was like staying in someone's house it was so relaxing! The best place for their wedding, it was better than we could ever have imagined! Thank you to all the staff they were so friendly, helpful and supportive, nothing was too much trouble at all. We just don't know how to recommend this venue enough. Our daughter's wedding this weekend was outstanding in every way, everything fell into place made easier by the hard work and help from the BW team. The charming house is so calming and peaceful, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained and the "can do" attitude of the staff is equal to none. We feel very privileged to have been able to use this amazing venue for this important occasion, and the feedback from the guests made us proud!

The team at Barley wood pull out every stop to make the venue, planning and accommodation perfect for the couples I work with. One of my favourite venues to work at, each time it's an absolute pleasure.

I got married here last month and it was such a magical weekend. The staff here went above and beyond to help and make everything go swimmingly. They also must have sorted out the weather as it was such a nice day! The grounds look absolutely stunning and everyone commented on the ace venue. Having some rooms on site was lovely and really felt at home for the weekend. I want to do it all over again. Thanks again xx
